Overview

A 5-pin 20 Amp 3 Phase Adaptor for Earth Continuity and Insulation testing of appliances and leads.

Works with both 4 and 5 pin (M) connections.

TPI Overview

• Can be used with any appliance tester
• Users set the appliance tester to Class I test
• The adaptor allows the appliance tester to check insulation resistance and earth continuity
• All phases and neutral are tested for insulation resistance simultaneously to earth
• For 4-pin appliances/extension leads, the neutral test is omitted

Checking 3 Phase Appliances

1. The adaptor's 3-pin plug is connected to the appliance tester
2. The 3-phase appliance is plugged into the female 3-phase socket of the adaptor
3. The appliance tester's earth clamp/probe is attached to the metal body of the 3-phase appliance
4. User selects Class I test on the appliance tester
5. The appliance tester conducts the earth continuity test
6. The appliance tester conducts the insulation resistance test

Checking 3 Phase Extension Leads

1. The adaptor's 3-pin plug is connected to the appliance tester
2. The 3-phase extension lead is plugged into the female 3-phase socket of the adaptor
3. The appliance tester's earth clamp/probe is attached to the earth pin on the female socket of the 3-phase extension lead
4. User selects Class I test on the appliance tester
5. The appliance tester conducts the earth continuity test
