I was aware of Marty Stuart from his single Arlene on Columbia Records, but my first encounter with him was new year's eve 1986 in Atlanta, Georgia when he shared a show with Steve Earle. Tony Brown and I watched from the wings as Marty swaggered his way through the opening set. Tony, then vice-president of A&R at MCA Records in Nashville and on his way to becoming the top producer in town, whispered to me, 'I'm thinking of signing Marty, would you want to co-produce him with me?' Yes, of course I would. It's not that I was sold on what Marty was doing as much as how he was doing it. The guy had miles of charisma and presence like Ernest Tubb, Hank Snow, Lester Flatt, Porter Wagoner, Cash and so many others... all rolled up in one. Marty Stuart was a young, old pro. As we began pre-production and choosing songs for that first album, I got to know Marty and learned of his coming up in the business playing with Lester Flatt and Johnny Cash. Marty knew everybody and we shared a serious love affair with country music, it's history, tradition and artists from an earlier time. I very quickly came to have a deep regard and respect for Marty Stuart that continues to this day. As a musician, songwriter, historian, collector, photographer, author, television host and performer, Marty's a one-man army for the salvation of country music. 'd moved to Nashville with an eye to making records exactly like Hillbilly Rock and Tempted. Looking back nearly 25 years later I'm still very proud of them. Both albums reflect that tradition and history of country music. With this Bear Family vinyl re-issue they've gained a history of their own.

Strong, Cloth-Like Paper Towels

I picked up the Viva Multi-Surface Cloth paper towels (task size, 12 super rolls), and they’ve quickly become my go-to for everyday cleaning.
The biggest standout is how durable and cloth-like they feel. Unlike thinner paper towels that tear easily, these are thick and strong enough to handle tougher messes without falling apart. I’ve used them for everything from kitchen spills to wiping down counters and even light scrubbing.
The task-size sheets are actually really convenient. You can use a smaller piece for quick cleanups, which helps reduce waste and makes the rolls last longer than expected.
They’re also surprisingly absorbent. One sheet can handle more liquid than I expected, so I don’t find myself grabbing multiple sheets every time. That’s a big plus when you’re cleaning up bigger spills.
Another thing I like is that they hold together well even when wet. You can rinse and reuse them briefly for certain tasks, which isn’t something you can do with most paper towels.
If I had one downside, it’s that they’re a bit more expensive than basic brands. But considering how much you use less per mess, it kind of balances out.
Overall, these are high-quality, reliable paper towels that feel closer to a reusable cloth than disposable paper. Great for anyone who wants something tougher and more efficient for everyday cleaning.

Best Paper Towel

a typical paper towel. They’re very absorbent, don’t fall apart when wet, and handle large spills with fewer sheets. They do cost more than basic brands, but the performance makes them feel like a small household upgrade. Once you start using them, it’s hard to go back to thinner options.

Not as good as original Viva, but still a great towel and worth the money

VIVA has been my favorite paper towel for 10 years!! I have been given the name of the paper towel nat** (I do not want to offend anyone). I make you use them only for certain things and use as few as possible. This is due to the price. But with Viva they can be rinsed and used many times, like when wiping countertops. This makes them go far for the money and I have to not be as strict. I thought I would try this new type as it looked like it would be more cost effective. I like them but there are so many less, we are going through them very fast. I will be going back to the original type when these are gone.
I decorate cakes, using both fondant, and buttercream icings. These towels are fantastic for smoothing out the icings. Look up the technique on YouTube. They are the best for this.
I can never be without my Viva but will go back to.the original type.

Delivery on a timely manner

It’s not as nice as the charming toilet paper I was expecting it to be just as good or or a little at least a little bit charming, but it wasn’t. It’s not harsh, but it’s kind of thin so I really wasn’t happy with that.

Nice paper towels

I was sad that I must of read this wrong because they were not like the material ones, that you would use for everything. They are durable and do not leave lint on the windows when you use it to clean them. This was a good value for the money even if they were the wrong ones.
