A 19th-century conspiracy is about to be shattered by a 21st-century forensic artist.

In 1857, a wagon train in Utah was assaulted by a group of militant Mormons calling themselves the Avenging Angels. One hundred and forty people were murdered, including unarmed men, women, and children. The Mountain Meadows Massacre remains controversial to this day--but the truth may be written on the skulls of the victims.

When renowned forensic artist Gwen Marcey is recruited to reconstruct the faces of recently unearthed victims at Mountain Meadows, she isn't expecting more than an interesting gig . . . and a break from her own hectic life.

But when Gwen stumbles on the ritualized murder of a young college student, her work on the massacre takes on a terrifying new aspect, and research quickly becomes a race against modern-day fundamentalist terror.

As evidence of a cover-up mounts--a cover-up spanning the entire history of the Mormon church--Gwen finds herself in the crosshairs of a secret society bent on fulfilling prophecy and revenging old wrongs.

Can a forensic artist reconstruct two centuries of suppressed history . . . before it repeats itself?

In A Cry from the Dust, Carrie Stuart Parks utilizes her own background as a celebrated, FBI-trained forensic artist to blend fact and fiction into a stunning mystery.

"Parks' fast-paced and suspenseful debut novel is an entertaining addition to the inspirational genre. Her writing is polished, and the research behind the novel brings credibility to the story . . . An excellent book that is sure to put Carrie Stuart Parks on readers' radar." --RT Book Reviews, 4 stars

"Besides having a resourceful and likeable heroine, the book also features that rarest of characters: a villain you don't see coming, but whom you hate with relish . . . A Cry from the Dust will keep you hoping, praying and guessing till the end." --BookPage

"Renowned forensic artist Parks's action-packed and compelling tale of suspense is haunting in its intensity. Well researched and written in an almost journalistic style, this emotionally charged story is recommended for fans of Ted Dekker, Mary Higgins Clark, and historical suspense." --Library Journal

"Parks's real-life career as a forensic artist lends remarkable authenticity to her enthralling novel, A Cry from the Dust. Her work is a fresh new voice in suspense, and I became an instant fan. Highly recommended " --Colleen Coble, USA TODAY bestselling author of the Hope Beach Series and The View from Rainshadow Bay

Very Essential Pants!
Size: 0, Color: Mauve, Size: 0, Color: Mauve
I saw the mauve pants while browsing at a bargain price. I when I tried them on, I didn’t want to take them off. They looked great, fit perfectly and were so comfortable that I felt like I was wearing PJs. I ordered them in size 0. I am just shy of 5’ and thin, so finding casual but dressy slacks that fit is difficult. The material is soft and a perfect thickness to wear all year, not too heavy but provides enough warmth for cooler days. Being cotton with a tad of stretch keeps them from wrinkling a lot and looking fresh. In fact I loved them so much that I went back and bought every color available. Nice to not wear jeans dominate my choices. I took a picture showing all the colors which I bought. Oh, I love the style with the simple zipper in the front and welting on the legs. Also a feature is the fact that the waist hits my real waist and makes me look taller. Kudos on these VERY Essential pants.

Great buy!
Size: 4, Color: Ivory
Love these pants. They are multifaceted when it comes to being part of a casual look or dressier look! The fit is great and so far the zipper holds, it does not slide down throughout the day. They also wash and dry well! I purchased as many of them as I could before they showed out of stock! When you find something good, better stock up!

The perfect casual work pants!
Size: 16, Color: Camel
I love these pants! I used the size chart to order per my measurements and it worked out perfectly. I am 5’5” 180lbs and ordered size 16 in Camel. These are more on the casual side, but with the right styling they could be dressed up. They are soft with a brushed cotton feel. They have just enough stretch to add to comfort, but not so stretchy that they lose their shape or don’t retain initial structure. I wore them for a full work day the required a lot of walking, bending, and squatting. They are just a couple inches longer on me than I’d like, but most cropped/ankle style pants are. I didn’t notice prior to ordering they don’t have a button. No worries - the zipper stays up and makes for a flattering and different look. I plan to order again in a couple different colors. I’m shocked at how good the quality considering I only paid $14 for them.

Very shirt and ugly zipper
Size: 4, Color: Mauve
Way too short and zipper is large and ugly. I'm only 5'3" and these still looked like capris. The zipper was more obvious and unattractive. Style otherwise was cute casual, but overall not OK.

Disappointed
Size: 0, Color: Rust Orange, Size: 0, Color: Rust Orange
I initially loved these pants when I first took them out of the bag and put them on. They fit like a glove and I also loved the capri length. After washing once, the legs of the pants became so loose and baggy. Very disappointed. Also, there is a stain on the leg that became more visible. What on earth happened to these pants??
