How to use (quick guide)
• For Pizza (best results):
Place thermometer inside and light your fire.
Aim for 300–320 °C.
Remove the thermometer before baking; keep the fire going to maintain heat.
• For Baking (breads, pastries, etc.):
Heat with thermometer inside.
At 250 °C, remove the fire, leaving coals on top.
When the oven settles at 180–200 °C, add a little coal to maintain.
Tip: Don’t leave the thermometer in while cooking oily/greasy foods. Use it to reach temperature, then remove to reduce cleanup.
Care & safety
Thermometer: Do not immerse the dial in water. Wipe casing with fine steel wool/scouring pad; clean glass only with a scouring pad. Use a glove or tongs. It gets very hot. Do not leave in the Pizza Braai above 350 °C.
Spades & Cutter: Dishwasher safe stainless steel. Dry thoroughly before storing.
