This product features a proven combination of essential ingredients, with low sugar content, making it ideal for horses and ponies at risk of laminitis.
Cortaflex® HA Regular Powder contains collagen, hyaluronic acid, trace minerals, and amino acids, which are crucial for maintaining healthy cartilage and joint fluid. Cartilage is the flexible, elastic tissue that cushions the ends of bones within a joint, serving as a primary shock absorber and reducing friction. Synovial fluid must be thick and viscous to properly nourish and lubricate the joint while also acting as a vital shock absorber.

What is Cortaflex®?
Cortaflex® supplements are distinct in the market and often misrepresented when compared to other joint supplements! Cortaflex® supplies the necessary building blocks that help specialized cells in cartilage, known as chondrocytes, uphold joint health.
What are the benefits of Cortaflex?
- Collagen – a vital component required by chondrocytes to create the water-based matrix within cartilage. Collagen contributes to the strength of cartilage. (We source our marine-derived collagen sustainably and ethically.)
- Amino acids like glutamic acid – converted in the horse’s body into glutamine, which pairs with glucose to form glucosamine, which then combines with other compounds to enhance cartilage's flexibility and shock-absorbing capabilities.
- Hyaluronic acid (HA) – a crucial element of joint fluid that nourishes the joint and serves as both a lubricant and shock absorber.
- Copper, manganese and silicon – essential trace minerals required for the horse to synthesize its own chondroitin (another key structural compound in cartilage), collagen, and hyaluronic acid.
