Andromeda Gongs are handmade in the Netherlands by gong artist Jesse Blauwhof. Jesse began working with metal at a young age, later introduced to musical instruments like gongs through the work of Ton Akkermans at "Creation of Sound".

Andromeda 18" Alfr Gongs were created out of Blauwhof’s inner quest to find a connection with something that lies deep within us, that which connects us as a human being from life to life. This bronze gong has been engraved with the old norse runes for Alfr (elf in English) on the back.

The Alfr or Alfa is the same tonal expression as the Alfa in Greek or Aleph in hebrew, it is a primal beginning. And so within us there lies this primal beginning.

At 18" this gong is the perfect handheld gong to bring a new range of sounds to your sound baths. Use this gong to accent your larger gongs during sound baths and group gong meditations.
