Oxford Diecast Newcastle AEC Mercury TL - 1:76 ScaleDelivered in 1966 at a cost of 11,700 this was the second AEC Merryweather TL of Newcastle and Gateshead Joint Fire Service. It was assigned from new to Newcastle and Gateshead headquarters fire station at Pilgrim Street in the city centre. In April, 1974 it became part of the new Tyne & Wear Metropolitan Fire Brigades fleet and was repainted red. Later operating in the reserve fleet it was withdrawn and sold in 1987.
