When troubled twenty-one-year-old Seamus Blake meets the strong and self-possessed Jimmy (just arrived in San Francisco by bicycle from his hometown in Buffalo, New York), he feels his life may finally be taking a turn for the better. But the ensuing romance proves short-lived as Jimmy dies of an AIDS-related illness. The grieving Seamus is obliged to keep a promise to Jimmy: "Take me back the way I came."
And so Seamus sets out by bicycle on a picaresque journey with the ashes, hoping to bring them back to Buffalo. He meets truck drivers, waitresses, college kids, farmers, ranchers, Marines, and other travelers--each one giving him a new perspective on his own life and on Jimmy's death. When he meets and becomes involved with a young Native American man whose mother has recently died, Seamus's grief and his story become universal and redemptive.

All 3 Dogs Want The Benebone Ring Now

Rescued an Old English Sheepdog and after about 2 weeks, he started chewing things in the house. We knew he enjoyed chewing sticks in the backyard, but chewing things in the house was a no go. Purchased this Benebone Ring (bacon) hoping it would help to curb some of the issues we were having. I am happy to report that so far, after 3-4 weeks of him having the Benebone Ring, he has not chewed a single thing inside the house. He loves this ring and carries it in and out during the day so that he has it with him. The only problem we ran into was our other 2 dogs ALSO wanted the Benebone Ring. While they are not big chewers, suddenly this toy became the must have item in the house. So of course, we had to get more.
Highly recommend this chew toy as it is not only durable, it appears to be highly desirable. Keep in mind however that this toy is heavy. So when your dog decides to drop it on your hardwood floors, you WILL hear it in every room in the house!!

My babies love their Benebones!

My one-year old pittie is 60lbs and has severe allergies to EVERYTHING, she's on medicated food and all the crazy things, and so I was trying to find something that wouldn't mess up her regimen by her ingesting it. This is PERFECT. She loves her medium sized Benebone! She carries it everywhere haha. I have three other big dogs, and got the largest one for my 110lb German Shepherd and she also loves it. I keep an eye on the edges and sand them down if I find anything sharp.
These things are TOUGH. My pitbull can eat a massive bully stick in less than ten minutes, and she's barely made a dent in this thing! My GSD is a little more delicate and likes to savor and enjoy her toys, so hers isn't progressing as fast. She eats Yak Chews in around 30 minutes (and those things are like concrete!)
I think these will easily last a month, possibly more, and for the price you can't beat it. The value is insane. I spend maybe 200$ a month on rawhide alternatives and bully sticks and yak chews for them, and these 14$ things last infinitely longer. BTW these things hurt like a mother trucker when you step on them, so keep an eye on where they are haha they're big and heavy!

Love these for super chewers
Flavor Name: REAL Bacon, Size: Large
I have two pit bulls and they destroy everything. These have held up very well for weeks. I use the cups for their morning yogurt and can even use hot water wand soap to wash them out. These are a great value for the money and the dogs love to carry them around in their mouths and even tug o war with them. Highly recommend.
