Some albums are testimony, some confessions, and some are escape. "Ventriloquism", the latest album from Meshell Ndegeocello, is a place, like it's process, to take refuge from one storm too many. Musically, Ventriloquism has the hallmarks of all of Ndegeocello's work, lush and investigative, subversive and sublime. As always, she pays tribute to her diverse influences and in these eleven covers, we hear them layered over one another. "Early on in my career, I was told to make the same kind of album again and again, and when I didn't do that, I lost support. There isn't much diversity within genres, which are ghettoizing themselves, and I liked the idea of turning hits I loved into something even just a little less familiar or formulaic. It was an opportunity to pay a new kind of tribute." A final note to the listener, Meshell chose art for the album that hints at what's inside: A graphic V, a hidden M, the artwork is symbolic, sexy, and calls on the language of protest of the era these songs were mined from.

The Perfect All-In-One Powerhouse!

I recently purchased this 2025 HP Ultrabook as a gift, and it has exceeded every expectation. The recipient uses it daily for both high-level business work and personal use at home, and he absolutely loves the quality, functionality, speed and reliability.
The fact that it comes with Lifetime MS Office and Windows 11 Pro already included is a huge value-add—it was ready to go right out of the box without any extra subscriptions or setup headaches.
I also want to give a huge shout-out to the vendor! The laptop arrived much sooner than the estimated delivery date, which was a pleasant surprise and ensured it was under the tree just in time for Christmas. Between the premium hardware and the stellar service, I couldn't be more satisfied with this purchase. I highly recommend!

Defective Computer Returned in Original Condition – Unfair $60 Deduction

I would like to report this seller for unfair and fraudulent conduct. The computer that was sent to me was defective and did not power on or function upon arrival.
Because the item was not working, I returned it in exactly the same condition in which it was received, including all accessories and components. The item was properly packaged and returned without any damage caused by me.
Despite this, I was charged a $60 deduction/refund reduction, which I believe is completely unjustified. The seller is attempting to hold me responsible for a condition that existed before I received the computer.
I respectfully request that this case be reviewed, that the seller's conduct be investigated, and that the unjustified $60 deduction be refunded to me.
The product was defective from the beginning, and I fulfilled my obligation by returning it in the same condition in which it was received.
