Thomas Leer is an innovative electronic musician from Port Glasgow, Scotland. He began singing for a local band at age 13, and was writing his own music by 18. By 1977, he had moved to London, where he fronted Pressure, a Clash-esque punk group with fellow experimental Scottish musician Robert Rental. After hearing Kraftwerk, Leer became interested in synthesizers - not long after, he was exploring the experimental techniques of Eno, Zappa, Beefheart, Faust, and Can. In 1978, Thomas released his first single, "Private Plane"/"International", on his own Oblique Records that we reissued in 2015. "1979" is a 14-song collection spread across two pieces of vinyl clocking in at 70 minutes. Leer says, "1979 was a great year for making music. The punk explosion two years earlier, cleansed the palate and opened up minds to new sonic possibilities. It was in this spirit I took to exploring electronics and set up my first little home studio. Bearing in mind this was before such luxuries as Portastudios or affordable multi-tracks, I decided sound quality was less important than experimentation and innovation, so I pressed on with the meager equipment I had. My tabletop studio in Crouch End, North London, consisted of two cassette machines, a copycat tape echo, some FX pedals, Ring Modulator, Guitar, Bass & Wasp Synthesizer." Songs range from half serene atmospheres, to minimal rhythmic workouts, to tape loops layered behind distorted guitars, to cold layered singing, all with a psychedelic lo-fi attitude. All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The jacket features an industrial photo of a man standing on an overpass with a passing truck taken by Thomas' brother Andy Wishart in 1980. Each copy includes a two-sided black and white postcard with liner notes by Thomas. 38 years later this is fresh UK D.I.Y. post-punk, compelling pop with a dark heart, vacillating between the pretty disturbing and the disturbingly pretty.

Great space saver

I love how this makes my sink so much more organized. For me, it holds a 20oz dish soap, a dish spray, 2 S.O.S. pads, 2 sponges, a steel wool scrubber, a bottle brush, a Stanley cap cleaner, and a sink stopper. I could still fit more if I wanted to. I can move the tall brush holder to whichever side I want, as well as the divider. It was super easy to put together, and functions well by draining all the drips right into my sink, instead of behind it. The black looks great and matches my kitchen well. This organized is built well and keeps mynsink area tidy and hygienic.

It Looks Nice and It Works

I like it. It is too long for my sink area, but it still works. Next to my sink is a dish rack.
One half of the caddy fits perfectly behind it, holding a 16oz bottle of dish soap and
a 16oz bottle of multi-surface cleaner. The part of the caddy that fits on my sink ledge
holds a sponge, scrubber and scouring pad, The caddy works great at keeping the ledge
dry. It is a very nice, well-designed item. I recommend this caddy it's keeps everything
organized and dry.

Good for organization, looks neat!

I've had this for almost a year now and expect to have it for a few more; seems very durable. The drain board thingy requires consistent cleaning every few days, but its done in less than two minutes. I usually wash the entire thing every two weeks to keep it shiny as well. I am seeing a little bit of rust, but it's not too much and it's not noticeable if you don't look for it. It's great for organization and was easy to assemble. A very sturdy and well-sized product.

Serves purpose and holds what it was intended to

I like it. Keeps things organized and handy in small kitchen. The attachable bin holding my brushes I put on outside of unit not inside as company pics show it. That bin only has one clip to hold it in place. This makes it a little wobbly if you want to place it on the outside like I did. I used 2 trash bag twisties to help tighten it into place. Doing this made it no longer lose and the inside area space larger to hold both of my soaps. Fits everything I need it to. I appreciated the little lever on bottom that moves for water drainage. My sink design doesn’t work for the other drainage design I found these to have online.
