Express FP 5 VL5 HB
Boehringer Ingelheim Express FP 5 VL5 HB is a modified live vaccine for healthy, susceptible cattle as an aid in prevention of IBR, BVD Types 1 and 2, PI3, BRSV, Vibrio and 5 strains of Lepto including Hardjo-bovis. Pregnant cows or calves nursing pregnant cows can be vaccinated with Express FP 5 VL5 HB provided the cows were vaccinated pre-breeding, according to label instructions, with any Express FP vaccine within the past 12 months.
Research has shown the duration of immunity against IBR-induced abortion and against BVD Types 1 and 2, including persistently infected calves, is at least 12 months. Also shown to be effective against urinary shedding of L. borgpetersenii serovar hardjo (type Hardjo-bovis). Vaccinated animals subsequently exposed to Hardjo-bovi Lepto strain have been shown to clear renal infections within 8 weeks of exposure.
