Tincup, a Colorado-based distillery, has released its oldest whiskey yet, Fourteener. While Tincup's previous offerings, Tincup and Tincup 10 Years Old, are classified as American Whiskeys due to the addition of a small amount of Stranahan's single malt, Fourteener is a straight bourbon made with a house style mash of approximately 2/3 corn, 1/3 rye, and a touch of barley, aged in new American oak barrels. The name Fourteener is a nod to the 58 mountains in Colorado that are over 14,000 feet tall, known as Fourteeners. Each year, Tincup plans to release a different bottling of Fourteener, with the label featuring a different mountain, and Long's Peak being the first for 2022. The nose of Fourteener has prominent wood notes that lead into a traditional baking spice profile, followed by torched orange oil notes. On the palate, the whiskey has fruity apple notes, reminiscent of applesauce, before vanilla and caramel flavors take over. The finish is characterized by cinnamon and fruit notes, with hints of nutty almond nougat and bubblegum around the edges. While the balance leans towards sweetness, Fourteener is worth comparing to Tincup 10 Years Old.Shipping Notes

Good product/unsure of air seal

Does not hold a vacuum
It does not hold a vacuum. I am able to pump and cause a vacuum where I cannot take the top off without pushing the relief button but give it a few hours and the vacuum is gone. Coffee is stale in a few days and I have gained nothing but the expense.

Does not hold a seal very long
Looks good. Quality materials and construction. Vacuum seal doesn’t seem to last very long. After a day the lid can be easily opened, regardless of how many times you pump it beforehand. More aesthetic than functional.
