The Domaine des Damoiselles vineyard covers 25 hectares on the limestone plateaus (tuffeau) overlooking the Loire River in the communes of Parnay, Turquant, and Montsoreau, all belonging to the Saumur-Champigny appellation.
Catherine and Patrice Retif, winemakers since 1985, have converted their estate to organic agriculture over many years and got their certification in 2021.

Their wines are an authentic and qualitative expression of Saumur-Champigny wines. 

Horizon is the main red cuvée of the estate. Made of Cabernet Franc, it features an intense ruby colour, red fruits aromas and silky tannins. It will fill your mouth with freshness and without the herbal astringent notes that can sometimes come up in Cabernet Franc grapes when harvested too early. A testimony to the efforts put in by Patrice and Catherine to carefully select their grapes during the harvest.

This red wine, served chilled, can be paired with a fish in sauce, or around 14 degrees with red or white meat.
