PR Lifting Dumbbells are made out of high quality materials. The inner core of the dumbbells are cut steel. All sizes above 30lb have the steel handles going through the middle section of the core and welded on the outside making it next to impossible to break at the head. Also, since the inner core is pre-cut and weighed, the PR Lifting dumbbells are very accurate in weight and fall within a 1% margin of error for displayed weight. Most rubber hex dumbbells have an air cast iron core which are very difficult to be made with tight weight tolerances. It is very common to weight rubber hex dumbbells and find them being off by between half and one half pounds. This is a non issue with PR Lifting dumbbells.
