The Hasami Mugs are available in Natural, Gloss Grey or Black and are 8.5cm wide heights - 7.2cm, 8.9cm or 10.6cm high to suit your needs. The natural colour has a textured finish while the Black and Gloss Grey have a smoother finish.

The bottom of the mug is slightly recessed making the mug look like it hovers on the table. The mug pairs with the 8.5cm plate that can be used as a coaster, a lid or to hold your favourite biscuits.

Hasami Story

Hasami porcelain is made in the village of Hasami located in Nagasaki, a specialist Porcelain town for over 400 years. Here, each piece is passed onto various craftsmen in the town as they complete each step of the process. They each contribute in their own way to create a piece that is naturally different from all the rest.

Designed by Takuhiro Shinomoto with inspiration from traditional Japanese aesthetics blended with simple modern lines to create beautifully designed modern objects that can be used everyday.

Using traditional glazing techniques with a unique blend of natural stone and clay materials, the outer texture of Hasami Porcelain is a result of many years of development to bring out the very best of these raw natural materials. The natural colour has a textured finish while the Black and Gloss Grey have a smooth finish.

Size Guide

The 7.2cm tall mug holds 300ml, the 8.9cm tall mug holds 380ml and 10.6cm tall mug holds 450ml.
A standard coffee size is 177ml or 6oz while a large is typically 340ml or 12oz. We find the 300ml is a good size for a coffee mug while the 380ml is a good overall mug size.

Excellent book, with a complete introduction that covers different points of view of the creation of such work of art, it can be seen that it was translated with a team of high academic preparation and knowledge on the subject. It was translated with a lot of precision, respect, professionalism and with much seriousness to the subject. The book is made with high quality and its pages are quite thick. The only mistake that I could notice and it is difficult for me not to be upset, is that they created the index and left out the chapters of each book. For me it is a gross error in comparison with other versions. It's the reason why I could not give 5 stars.

A much needed translation that turned out beautifully

Two things make this translation of the Picatrix a must have for any fan of the work. First, it has an index, and it's a really nice index that is fairly complete. Second, the paragraphs are numbered, so we can refer to things as being mentioned in Picatrix 3.4.1, and then somebody else can go look it up and say, "Ha ha, good one." The translation seems to be really solid, too. It's a great edition.
