Millions of people were affected. International relief efforts tried to send emergency aid. "Les Bateaux", the title track of this album, recalls those hard years. It paints a scene of Malian villagers standing on the banks of the Niger River anxiously awaiting the boats carrying food. Mamadou Kelly remembers those years as he calls out the name of each boat's longed for appearance over the horizon. Kelly sings about life. He praises and thanks those who do admirable things. He evokes the spirits of collective memory. Seemingly simple, upon listening, his songs reveal multi-layered complexity. He is a master of the desert blues. His group on this album includes longtime colleague Aly Magassa (electric guitar), Kande Sissoko (ngoni), and Hamadoun "Afo" Guindo (percussion). They are joined on tracks by Malian musicians Adama Sidibe (balafon(, Madou Diabate (violin), and Hama Sangho (backup vocal), as well as American friends Jacob Silver (bass), Cindy Cashdollar (lap steel guitar), and David Rothenberg (clarinets). Les Bateaux was recorded live in Bamako and New York. The tracks were mixed in New York and Los Angeles, and mastered in New York.

Great value hand soap, but watch out for leaky bottles

For a 6-pack at this price, you really can't complain too much. The soap itself is pleasant — it lathers well, rinses clean, and leaves your hands feeling soft without any dryness afterward. The "Original Fresh" scent is light and clean without being overpowering, nothing fancy but perfectly fine for everyday use. My main issue was that one of the six bottles arrived with a leak — not completely empty but had clearly lost some product in transit, which was a little frustrating. It seems like a packaging or seal issue rather than anything wrong with the product itself, but worth mentioning. The other five bottles were perfectly fine and have been holding up great. If you're looking for a no-frills, budget-friendly hand soap to stock up on for the kitchen or bathroom, this gets the job done. Just inspect your bottles when they arrive. Clean Ingredients. Love this fragrance! Clean, light and refreshing.

I absolutely love this brand of hand soap. One of the biggest things that stands out to me is that it’s made with natural ingredients, which makes it feel like a much cleaner product compared to others I’ve used.
The fragrances are all amazing, and I really like that they use essential oils instead of harsh synthetic scents. It smells great without being overwhelming. This fragrance is one of my favorites. I find myself coming back to it because of the light, clean & refreshing fragrance.
It also lathers really nicely, and a little bit goes a long way, which makes it last longer than I expected. Overall, it feels high quality, gentle, and refreshing to use every day.
