Asplenium antiquum ‘Gioia’, commonly known as the Gioia Bird’s Nest Fern, is a beautifully sculptural houseplant with gently rippled, glossy green fronds that unfurl from a central rosette. Unlike traditional Bird’s Nest Ferns, Gioia has more textured, softly wavy foliage that gives it a fuller, more decorative appearance while still keeping that clean, architectural form. This tropical houseplant brings a lush, calming feel to shelves, desks, and shaded corners, and is especially lovely in bathrooms where it can enjoy higher humidity. Asplenium antiquum is an evergreen fern, meaning it keeps its foliage year-round, providing constant greenery and structure indoors.

Plant Care 

Light: Medium to bright indirect light but also tolerant of low-light plant.

Watering: Water when the top inch of soil is dry. Don't water into the middle of this plant, but rather around and directly into the soil. 

Temperature: If you are comfy this plant is too! 13 to 27°C is ideal.

Potting: A well-draining moisture retaining mix is a good bet for this plant. Our Thirst Trap mix is a great choice. 

Hot tips: This plant is fine with average humidity but will thrive with higher humidity.
