This book contains detailed instructions on building the LHD-7 USS Iwo Jima 1/350 scale model ship from Trumpeter kit# 05615. This kit is enormous. The kit has over 1000 pieces. Adding the aftermarket parts brings the total pieces to over 1600. When assembled, the model is over 3 feet long.
I take the model kit instructions from Trumpeter and break them up into individual steps. I reorder the steps so that the small pieces (antennas, etc.) are assembled last which reduces the risk of damage when building the model. The steps are organized to insert the paint and decal steps in the best spot. I also incorporate EduardÕs Photo Etch sets 53180, 53181, 53183, 53184, 53185, and 53186 in with TrumpeterÕs instructions. As most modelers know, it can be tricky to go back and forth between the model kit instructions and the aftermarket kit instructions. I took out the guess work and did that for you. The PE steps are colored in gray making them easy to skip if you just have the basic model. This book provides a little history of the USS Iwo Jima, photos of the model kit contents including the photo etch frets, a detailed list of tools that I used to build this model, along with a list of paints. The actual instruction section contains 2,591 steps and over 350 figures that tell you what to dry fit, glue, and/or paint for each individual piece. Each step instruction shows the source (i.e., either TrumpeterÕs or EduardÕs instruction) along with a block to mark that you completed the step.
There are several pages of in-process photos with assembly tips and the final photos of my build for reference. I also provide instructions on how to add light to the well & hangar decks and the bridge areas in the superstructure. This book is a great checklist to make your build go smoothly. Of course, you can feel free to use different tools, paint, weathering, etc. or even add your own diorama. I did a lot of research and didnÕt see anything this detailed about a model build. Most articles or videos concentrate on parts of their build or just give a summary review. I wanted to go down to the piece level and take you thru the whole build. Anyway, I hope you find this book useful. See a multi-page sample along with photos of finished models and other books at glennhoovermodels.com.

Useable and pleasant looking

There's probably not a lot you can say about power strips because they all just do what they're supposed to do. However I needed something that would give me more power Outlets in the small bathroom sink counter space than I had. I tried several of the ones that I had but they either turned out too bulky, thick cords or just too intrusive for what I needed. That's when I came across this little gem. It comes with six Outlets, three USB inserts, and a smaller less thick power cord, and the end has a 30 degree flat angle so that it lays flat against the wall when plugged in instead of sticking straight out like most cords. Most importantly to me was it fit snuggly behind the sink faucet and tightly against the wall. All and all it made the entire application look as built in as possible. I know this seems as if a lot to say about a simple power strip but I've seem other bathroom counter sink tops cluttered with all sorts of electrical devices vying for their own plug in space and I don't need to tell you what that looks like. This is just a simple little power strip that was able to turn a messy looking counter top into a lot less intrusive looking mess.

really flat
Size: 6 Ft, Color: Black
The power strip itself is mostly normal. Not too thin, not too bulky, but it's the plug that makes this extra special. It's the thinnest we've found so far, which is excellent for hiding behind furniture that blocks outlets, while this strip still makes power easily accessible. Though I will say I do appreciate the USB A and C ports for charging and find them quite handy for quick charging devices. It is a lot more useful than I originally thought. My main gripe is that the mounting on the back is not the typical X X insets that others have, which allow sliding the screws into any direction, so it can be mounted any direction, and instead are just - - so it can only slide a single direction, which I find much more limited when we mounted these under our kids' desks.

Perfect for behind desks
Size: 10 Ft-2 Pack, Color: White
I bought this 2-pack of power strip surge protectors because I was tired of having to pull my dresser and nightstands 3 inches away from the wall just to plug something in. These have been a total game-changer for my home office and bedroom. Why These Are a Must-Have: • The Ultra-Thin Flat Plug: This is the best feature. The plug is so slim that I can push my furniture almost completely flush against the wall. No more wasted space or awkward gaps! • USB-C Ports Included: Finding a strip with 2 USB-C ports (plus a standard USB-A) at this price point is rare. I can fast-charge my phone and tablet directly from the strip without needing those bulky power bricks. • Long 10 Ft Cord: The 10-foot length gave me the flexibility to mount one under my desk while the other reaches all the way across the room to a hard-to-reach outlet. • Peace of Mind: With 1700 Joules of surge protection, I feel much safer plugging in my expensive laptop and monitor. A Quick Note: The mounting holes on the back are great for keeping the floor clear, but make sure you have your own small screws, as they don't always come with the specific ones for every wall type. The Verdict: Getting two of these for such a reasonable price is a steal. They look clean, feel sturdy, and the flat plug design is genius. 10/10 would buy again for the rest of the house!
