"This painting has such a tender back story. I painted it in 2017 for a good friend of mine. His mother had passed away and he was hurting deeply. I hated seeing him hurt like that and I wanted to give him something that would bring him comfort. The experience of giving him this painting is such a sacred one.

I loved painting this image so much! I love how she is reaching for her Heavenly Home and the light that is falling on her. I wanted this image to just pour out comfort and rest and peace for whoever saw it.

Friends, I hope when you see this painting it helps you feel comfort and rest and peace. I hope it helps ease the pain you might be feeling. And I hope it helps solidify your testimony that your loved ones are still with you even in death. They are closer than we know." -Kate Lee

About Kate: After a chance meeting with an inspired fellow artist, Kate modified her initial artistic direction to focus on works of inspirational watercolor. With a minimalistic style that conveys powerful family and gospel messages, Kate Lee speaks to us through her art when words are insufficient. Kate and her husband, Mike, live in Utah with their two boys and two dogs.

This valet tray is beautiful, especially for faux leather. It’s so super soft to the touch, and a great option to hold items that could easily slip or slide around. The texture has a nice way of gripping items in order to keep them in place, even with the sides down. Although having sides up certainly keeps things contained better. It also feels sturdy and very good quality. The buttons on the sides are not only attractive, but they are easy to snap and remain in place perfectly. This is a nice touch to any room, even decorative despite any slight mess it might contain within. I’m personally using it for a few medications and serum bottles on my nightstand. I highly recommend to anyone looking to make a messy space a little more attractive.
