Just as Al Green's "Back Up Train" was pulling out of Grand Rapids, Michigan, for a whistle stop tour to the top of the charts, producer Palmer James began eyeing another Furniture City branch line: Tommy McGee. The result was 1976's Positive-Negative, the creative apex in a career littered with endless bottoms. Great quality. Very easy install. Mounted mine above my fireplace to create a mantel. Looks like it was there from the day the apartment was built. So far it has held a good bit of weight with heavy ceramic decor and one very fat cat jumping up on it lol.

These shelves are gorgeous in person. Yes, they're darker than the listing pics, but I actually prefer it. The grain is beautiful, they came well-packed, and mounting them was no trouble at all. Now I've got display space that feels both stylish and practical. Definitely worth it!

Easy to install, very tough!

Seriously, scoring these shelf stands for $30 feels like an absolute steal! Four chunky wood boards with metal T-brackets that actually feel substantial - way sturdier than those flimsy IKEA ones I used to have. My old cheapo stands warped after half a year, but these hold up like a champ - I've got like 15 heavy textbooks stacked on them right now.
Love the little details too: rounded edges so you won't scrape your hands, and rubber grip strips on the bottom. They look legit fancy in my living room as bookshelves and even class up my kitchen herb garden. My friend thought they were some high-end designer furniture! Honestly, the craftsmanship at this price puts my old $60 wooden shelves to shame. Already told my DIY group chat about these - trust me, you can't go wrong!
