Benefit board for our good friend Jesse Corbett. All profits will go to him to support his recovery. Below is  some background on what happened.

In the early morning hours of Monday, June 21, Jesse Corbett was involved in a motorcycle accident in Lafayette and was badly injured. He was life-lined to St. Vincent in Indy where he’s currently in stable condition in the ICU.

What we know:

Jesse has multiple fractures, on the left side of his body: skull, face, scapula, possible clavicle and two ribs. 

There has been one surgery done to his two middle fingers on his left hand to save the fingertips on those fingers, which was successful so far!  

They have done a CT scan to assess his brain and found bruising and bleeding. 

They have more scans and X-rays planned to assess as he heals. The swelling has stopped increasing but is still present. This is the source of constant attention.  Jesse remains sedated to allow his brain to continue healing.  There may need to be future surgeries required to cauterize the bleeding and remove blood clots.  

A small portion of his lung collapsed. To support the healing of the lung, they inserted a chest tube.  As of 6/22 they also inserted a feeding tube, while he is under continued sedation.

So easy to wash!

Two things I love about this coverlet: 1. It's so much easier to wash than a duvet! Or even a duvet cover or a regular blanket, for that matter. The queen-size coverlet fit easily in my washer, and I could have put in another if I had had one. It stayed loose and balanced in the machine - the washer didn't have to readjust its balance during the spin cycles. In the dryer, it didn't wad up into a ball that had to be shaken out every few minutes. It came out feeling softer and looking good, with no wrinkles. 2. It's thinner than a duvet and suitable for warm weather, yet those three stitched layers give it substance and weight that I find more comfortable than sleeping under a pile of fluff or a bed sheet. The soft pastel green color with cream lining (not really reversible due to the hem) is fresh and reminiscent of the 1950s coverlets that my grandmother made. Crocheting was one of her passions, and she'd create huge lacy doilies that lay across the foot of the coverlet. Very pretty look.

Great summer blanket.

Beautiful blanket - Matches Pillow Cases perfectly.
This is a beautiful blanket that matches the pillow cases the seller sells in the same pattern and color perfectly. The twin size I purchased is thin as many have said but it is also heavy which is kind of strange. The inside on mine is a velvet type material that is very soft and warm. Some have stated theirs is a silky cold material but I can say mine is not. It is going to work great as the extra blanket on my bed, especially since it matches the pillow cases so perfectly.
