Still, Larry lounges around. While the mothers worry about their newly grown up cubs, Larry sleepsÑuntil his friends return with food! Now, Larry helps himself, and his pride agrees: why not share? It just seems like the friendly thing to do. Larry learns to depend on hard-working lions while he lazes about, his way of life spreads to others.

As the number of lazy lions increasesÑand hard workers continue to provideÑthe pride begins to realize they have a problem. TheyÕre going to run out of food if more lions donÕt go to work! Larry has started something awful, and if he and other lazy lions donÕt change their ways, the pride wonÕt survive.
