Conversion washers for the rear suspension, enabling the use of McPherson struts. The product has a unique shape and was developed to allow the change from a conventional suspension type, where the shock absorber and spring have separate mounting points, to McPherson struts, which are a unified structure consisting of the shock absorber and spring. The adapters feature very easy installation, using factory mounting points for the rear shock absorber mounts. Additionally, the washers reinforce the weak points of the rear strut towers, which can be damaged during sporty driving or when using high-powered engines.
The installation of the McPherson strut by ISC in the BMW E46 is shown in the images.
NOTE!
Depending on the type of shock absorber used, there may be a need to trim the original strut tower flange to provide access to the shock absorber nut. If the strut tower is trimmed, we recommend reinforcing it with additional washers welded from the top/bottom.
The washers are also used for tuning purposes to reduce the vehicle's weight, while allowing for the use of the McPherson strut system, which adjusts the suspension characteristics to the driver's needs, which is crucial during intense use, particularly in sports driving or competitions such as: Drift, KJS, 1/4 mile, Time Attack, etc.
The components are made using CNC machinery, ensuring the highest quality and production repeatability. Additionally, they are protected with a powder coating.
