In The Preparation of the Novel, a collection of lectures delivered at a defining moment in Roland Barthes's career (and completed just weeks before his death), the critic spoke of his struggle to discover a different way of writing and a new approach to life. The Neutral preceded this work, containing Barthes's challenge to the classic oppositions of Western thought and his effort to establish new pathways of meaning. How to Live Together predates both of these achievements, a series of lectures exploring solitude and the degree of contact necessary for individuals to exist and create at their own pace. A distinct project that sets the tone for his subsequent lectures, How to Live Together is a key introduction to Barthes's pedagogical methods and critical worldview. In this work, Barthes focuses on the concept of "idiorrhythmy," a productive form of living together in which one recognizes and respects the individual rhythms of the other. He explores this phenomenon through five texts that represent different living spaces and their associated ways of life: mile Zola's Pot-Bouille, set in a Parisian apartment building; Thomas Mann's The Magic Mountain, which takes place in a sanatorium; Andr Gide's La S questr e de Poitiers, based on the true story of a woman confined to her bedroom; Daniel Defoe's Robinson Crusoe, about a castaway on a remote island; and Pallidius's Lausiac History, detailing the ascetic lives of the desert fathers. As with his previous lecture books, How to Live Together exemplifies Barthes's singular approach to teaching, in which he invites his audience to investigate with him--or for him--and wholly incorporates his listeners into his discoveries. Perfect Tool for the Job – Compact, Durable, and Well-Made
Size: 32mm, Color: Green
I bought this 32mm oil filter socket specifically for my VW TDI, and it worked like a charm. The low-profile design is a lifesaver—there’s barely any clearance where the oil filter sits, and this tool fit in perfectly without me having to wrestle with it or remove other parts.
The quality is excellent—it’s made from aerospace-grade aluminum, which means it’s both lightweight and solid. The anodized finish looks great and gives me confidence it won’t rust or degrade like some cheaper tools I’ve used in the past. The 6-point hex design grips the cap snugly and doesn’t round it off, even with decent torque applied using a standard 3/8" ratchet.
I’ve already used it on a couple different vehicles (including a BMW and a Chevy) and it hasn’t slipped once. It’s a small tool, but it solves a big headache. For anyone doing their own oil changes—especially if you're dealing with tight engine bays—this socket is 100% worth it.
Bonus points for the bright green color—it’s easy to find in the toolbox! Highly recommend.

Decent Quailty
Size: 28mm, Color: Red
Great for taking off the Cummins 6.7 fuel filter cap. 28MM nice color making it easy to spot should you drop it in the engine compartment. Appears to be made of a bit soft material. IMHO don't think it would take a lot of torque. But again it’s to remove a plastic fuel filter cover so you should not be applying a lot of force on it to begin with.

Saved my plastic oil filter cap. A must-have for Chrysler owners.

I struggled for a long time trying to remove the plastic oil filter cap on my Chrysler. I almost broke it a couple of times using the wrong tool. My friend told me to buy this socket.
I was worried because it's aluminum. I thought it might not be strong enough. But it works great.
What's good:
The 24mm low profile fits perfectly on the plastic cap.
The aluminum is strong — it grips the cap well without damaging it.
6-point design gives good grip, won't strip the plastic.
I bought it once and use it every time now.
How I use it:
I only use this socket for removing the oil filter cap. Nothing else. I don't want to break it.
Bottom line: If you have a plastic oil filter cap (especially on a Chrysler), buy this socket. It will save you from breaking an expensive part. One of those tools you don't need often, but when you need it, you're glad you have it.
