Pink Floyd's legendary first Japan tour in 1971 was followed by a two-day outdoor festival “Hakone Aphrodite” and the only theater performance at the Osaka Festival Hall on August 9, 1971. While many live recordings of the legendary “Hakone Aphrodite” concert are known to exist, there are only a limited number of recordings of this Osaka concert, and this latest stereo remastering by a volunteer group of overseas Floyd source researchers is now available. This is an upgrade from the previously known audience recordings, which were converted from lower generation tapes. Although the order of the setlist is different from that of “Hakone Aphrodite,” “FAT OLD SUN” is performed at the Osaka show. The two CDs contain the complete concert version with the latest stereo remastering. In addition to the 2 CDs, an “audiophile DVD” is also included. The DVD contains both the latest stereo remastering and the original, un-remastered recording, allowing the user to compare the differences by switching between the two audio files. If you switch between the two while playing, you can clearly hear the difference in sound between the two. In addition, although it is not a video, a slideshow of rare photos from the “Osaka Concert” is included for each song, allowing the viewer to enjoy the video while playing.
