In many ways her life paralleled that of Santa Fe and New Mexico in the early years of the twentieth century. Born in 1881, Nina saw New Mexico change from a mostly rural territory of sheep and cattle ranches operated by a few Hispanic ricos, to become the 47th state in 1912 with increasing Anglo immigrant influences. Her own father was murdered by an Anglo, James Whitney, who disputed Manuel Otero's right to his land. Acre after acre was wrenched away from her family in the Anglo-dominated courts. But Nina viewed the change as inevitable and proceeded to make it work for her. She married an Anglo, Rawson Warren, divorced him after two years, declared herself a widow, and kept his name. Her hyphenated surname, Otero-Warren, opened doors for her in both cultures and enabled her to achieve most of her goals, which were varied and ambitious. Charlotte Whaley is editor emeritus of "Southwest Review," founder and publisher, with her late husband, of Still Point Press, former president of the Texas Gamma chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, and secretary emeritus of PEN Texas. Absolutely love this book
Format: Paperback
Absolutely love this book! Echoes a lot of my experiences. if you're at all interested in working with nature spirits, I would highly suggest this book! He offers a very in depth account of his experiences and since this is the second edition, he also includes how differently he feels or sees some of the things he originally wrote.

one of the most amazing and inspiring book I ever read
Format: Paperback
Nature spirits is one of the most amazing and inspiring book I have ever read. the depth and clear sight of the author gives a no children fairytale story but deep and spiritual yet clear insight into the world of the elementals: fairies, devas, gnomes and goblins.
This second edition, includes also new commentaries and simple exercises that can assist in personal work for those who whishes to approach this world.

Very interesting and detailed book.
Format: Paperback
This is the first book I purchased on this subject. Certainly not a simplistic book. It took me awhile to get used to his style of writing, and he introduces things I'd never heard of. I really had to pay attention.
Most of what he refers to and talks about is based in Europe, so that was a surprise, and a pleasant one. I wish this country didn't appear to be ashamed of these subjects. I found that were the other lives the people, including the government are open to what he does, consulting with nature elementals.
While I was reading this in my backyard, under my only tree (the city took down the other one), I experienced some insights of my own regarding man's interaction with nature. Who knows, maybe I will write my own book on that one day!

Awakening to reality of other realms
Format: Paperback
It has been a long-time of mankind's understanding of science that we have forgotten the things our ancient ancestors knew about our planet. There are other species of life here and there is an order that we don't control directly. We can work with the spirits of nature to create balance and plenty for our existence and theirs, or we can choose to ignore and continue on our path of Earth's destruction, and ultimately this also mean's our own demise. Here is a way to awaken to the elements of Nature and how we are supposed to work together.

Format: Kindle
An enjoyable read which correlates with the books of Dick van Romunde and Rudolph Steiner. Some interesting exercises to try on one’s own to nave their own experiences.
I also enjoyed his art work.
