To cater for the higher speeds you could achieve in this upgraded car, the manufacturers , the Rootes Group ,enlarged the brakes, as well as piercing the wheels to improve the brake cooling. The integral rear wheel spats were no longer featured either. Almost 11,000 were made over the two years of manufacture , twice
