❄️ FROZEN PRODUCT – IN-STORE PICKUP ONLY

50% More Protein Than Competitor Brands - Real Meat, Not Fillers!

A Pup Above Gently Cooked Dog Food delivers what your dog truly needs: REAL MEAT PROTEIN, not the plant matter and starch fillers found in most competitor brands. While other fresh dog foods pad their recipes with potatoes, peas, and cheap starches, A Pup Above focuses on what dogs are designed to eat - high-quality animal protein.

🥩 THE PROTEIN DIFFERENCE - Why A Pup Above is Superior:

A Pup Above:

  • 50% MORE PROTEIN than other gently cooked brands
  • 70% ANIMAL PROTEIN in Whole Food Cubies
  • REAL MEAT as the primary ingredient
  • LOW CARB formulation - minimal plant fillers
  • BONE BROTH ADDED for extra nutrition and flavor

Competitor Brands (Fresh Pet, Farmer's Dog, etc.):

  • ❌ Lower protein content - often 30-40% less
  • ❌ High in potatoes, peas, and starches
  • ❌ Plant matter used as cheap fillers
  • ❌ Higher carbohydrate content
  • ❌ Less actual meat per serving

Why Meat Protein Matters More Than Plant Fillers:

Dogs are carnivores by nature. Their bodies are designed to thrive on animal protein, not plant-based starches and fillers. While many fresh dog food brands bulk up their recipes with potatoes, peas, lentils, and other plant matter to reduce costs, A Pup Above prioritizes what your dog actually needs - REAL MEAT.

The Problem with Competitor Brands:

  • Excessive Starch: Many brands use potatoes and peas as primary ingredients to save money
  • Plant Protein Padding: Pea protein and other plant proteins are cheaper but less bioavailable for dogs
  • Lower Meat Content: Less actual animal protein means less nutrition per bite
  • Higher Carbs: Unnecessary carbohydrates can lead to weight gain and energy crashes
  • Filler-Heavy: Your dog eats more volume but gets less nutrition

Available Recipes - All High in Real Meat:

🥩 BEEF STEW

  • Premium beef as primary ingredient
  • Rich in protein and essential amino acids
  • Hearty, satisfying formula
  • Sizes: 1 lb ($11.95), 3 lb ($37.99), 7 lb ($81.99)

🍗 CHICKEN

  • Lean, high-quality chicken protein
  • Easily digestible for sensitive stomachs
  • Lower fat option
  • Sizes: 1 lb ($11.95), 3 lb ($35.99), 7 lb ($79.99)

🥓 PORK

  • Flavorful pork protein
  • Great for dogs with poultry sensitivities
  • Rich, savory taste dogs love
  • Sizes: 1 lb ($11.95), 3 lb ($33.99), 7 lb ($69.99)

🦃 TURKEY PAWELLA

  • Lean turkey protein
  • Novel protein option
  • Gentle on digestion
  • Sizes: 1 lb ($12.95), 3 lb ($35.99), 7 lb ($79.99)

Key Features:

  • 50% More Protein - Significantly higher meat content than Fresh Pet, Farmer's Dog, and similar brands
  • Low Carb Formula - Minimal plant matter and starch fillers
  • Bone Broth Added - Supports digestion, joint health, and skin/coat health
  • Sous-Vide Cooked - Michelin restaurant technique locks in nutrients and flavor
  • 100% Human-Grade - Every ingredient is human-grade quality
  • Gently Cooked - Preserves natural nutrients unlike high-heat kibble
  • No Added Antibiotics or Steroids - Clean, quality proteins
  • Non-GMO Produce - When vegetables are used, they're non-GMO
  • Farm to Bowl Transparency - Trace every ingredient with lot numbers

Sous-Vide Cooking - The Superior Method:

Unlike kibble (cooked at extreme high heat), canned food (pressure cooked), or even traditional fresh foods (boiled or baked), A Pup Above uses sous-vide cooking - the same method used by top Michelin-star restaurants worldwide. This gentle cooking method:

  • Locks in whole food nutrients that escape with stovetop cooking
  • Preserves natural flavors without overcooking
  • Retains moisture and protein integrity
  • Prevents nutrient degradation from high heat
  • Creates superior taste and texture

Compare the Ingredients - See the Difference:

A Pup Above Beef Stew: Beef, beef liver, beef heart, vegetables, bone broth, vitamins/minerals

Typical Competitor Brand: Chicken, potatoes, peas, carrots, pea protein, potato starch, sunflower oil...

Notice the difference? A Pup Above leads with MULTIPLE MEAT SOURCES (beef, liver, heart) while competitors pad with potatoes, peas, and starches. Your dog gets more actual nutrition per bite with A Pup Above.

Perfect For:

  • Dogs who need high-quality protein
  • Active dogs requiring sustained energy
  • Picky eaters who prefer real meat
  • Dogs with grain sensitivities
  • Senior dogs needing easily digestible protein
  • Dogs with food allergies (single protein options available)
  • Pet parents who want the best nutrition
  • Dogs transitioning from kibble to fresh food

Health Benefits of High Protein, Low Carb:

  • Lean Muscle Mass: More protein supports healthy muscle development
  • Sustained Energy: Protein provides steady energy without carb crashes
  • Healthy Weight: Lower carbs help maintain ideal body condition
  • Better Digestion: Less plant matter means easier digestion
  • Shinier Coat: High-quality protein improves skin and coat health
  • Stronger Immune System: Animal protein provides essential amino acids
  • Improved Satiety: Dogs feel fuller longer on protein-rich meals

Bone Broth Benefits:

A Pup Above adds bone broth to their recipes - something most competitors don't do. Bone broth provides:

  • Joint support from natural glucosamine and chondroitin
  • Improved digestion and gut health
  • Skin and coat health from collagen
  • Enhanced flavor and palatability
  • Additional protein and minerals
  • Hydration support

Human-Grade Certified:

A Pup Above is Human-Grade certified - meaning every single ingredient meets USDA standards for human consumption. If it's not good enough for you to eat, it's not good enough for your dog. This is a higher standard than "made with human-grade ingredients" - the ENTIRE product is human-grade.

Farm to Bowl Transparency:

Enter the lot number from your bag on A Pup Above's website to trace exactly where each ingredient came from. Complete transparency from farm to bowl - you know exactly what you're feeding your dog.

Feeding Guidelines:

Feed according to your dog's weight and activity level. Because this food is more nutrient-dense than competitor brands (thanks to higher protein and lower fillers), you may feed less volume while providing more nutrition. Consult feeding chart on package or transition gradually from current food over 7-10 days.

Available Sizes:

  • 1 lb bags: $11.95 - Perfect for trying new flavors or small dogs
  • 3 lb bags: $33.99-$37.99 - Great for medium dogs or variety
  • 7 lb bags: $69.99-$81.99 - Best value for larger dogs or multi-dog homes

Storage:

Keep refrigerated. Use within recommended timeframe after opening. Can be frozen for longer storage.

Why Choose A Pup Above Over Fresh Pet, Farmer's Dog, or Other Fresh Foods:

  • ✅ 50% more protein - your dog gets more nutrition per bite
  • ✅ Less plant filler - no unnecessary potatoes, peas, or starches
  • ✅ Bone broth added - extra health benefits competitors don't offer
  • ✅ Sous-vide cooking - superior to boiling or baking
  • ✅ Better value - more actual meat for your money
  • ✅ Complete transparency - trace every ingredient
  • ✅ Human-grade certified - not just "made with" human-grade ingredients

About A Pup Above:

Great Read for "Emerging" Christians (Kindle edition)
Format: Hardcover
I have a lot to say which is positive about this book, but first let me say my one disappointment: In his review of theological development of the 20th century, he completely skipped over the pentecostal and charismatic movements. He spent lots of time discussing liberation and feminist theologies, but skipped over these massive movements which claim followers in the 100s of millions. This is surprising to me do to the author's pentecostal roots and the fact that he is a solidly evangelical theologian. It could be argued that these movements haven't introduce "new doctrine" but rather just a "new emphasis" on existing doctrines such as spiritual gifts or the Holy Spirit. True, but then why did he spend so much time discussing the Pietists for whom the same could be argued. The theological influence of the pentecostal and charismatic movements is significant and their omission is glaring. Other than that... This is a timely book, especially for younger Christians. So many "emerging" Christians are writing books and spouting off ideas which they take to be new and innovative. Reading this book shows you just how tiered they are. Reading Olson's chapter on the emergence of 19th century theological liberalism in Germany reminded me of the last Brian McLaren book I read. Same ideas, but but in the context of church history one realises that these "new perspectives" have already been tried and found wanting. Solomon's declaration that, "There is nothing new under the sun" is what rand through my ears when I considered what a lot of hip, trendy, "innovative" preachers are saying now-a-days. Olson's dealing with Catholic and Orthodox church history was fair and unbiased given that many evangelical protestants often are when writing about them. I personally learned a lot about both the Scholastics as well as the Pietists. I also valued his perspective on Augustine. It is a great one volume work. Also, unlike the other reviewer, my Kindle version worked just fine.

Now I finally have a much better understand of theology
Format: Hardcover
I have always had a fascination with Christian theology and history. What could be better than a book on the history of Christian theology? It turns out that this book exceeded my expectations. What had been a confused and fuzzy understanding of theology has now crystallized into a much clearer view of the big picture. This helps to confirm my belief that the best way to understand any subject is by learning its history. Olsen's writing style is clear, concise and very interesting. I like how he is able to summarize vast quantities of information and ideas in such a short amount of space. I'm not saying this book is short, it is still over 600 pages long, but it could have been much longer. Olsen has obvious leanings on which doctrines he supports, and those that he doesn't. I didn't find his biases distracting, and it is always nice to know which way an author is leaning. I thought he did a reasonable job presenting the variety of worldviews within Christianity in a fair manner. I personally have the most experience studying early Christianity and I still learned a lot from this book. My weakest area of understanding was in modern theology and this gave me a good view at least to the year 2000. I'll probably need to get some advice on a good book to update me on current theology. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested understanding the history and diversity of Christianity.

Great Church History Book - Very Readable!
Format: Hardcover
I'm really enjoying this history of theology. I'm only about 250 pages into it, but so far it has been very readable. I know it's not strictly a church history book, but it really has shed a lot of light on the people and the events that shaped the church in the first four or five centuries (that's as far as I have read so far). I now feel like I have a much better understanding what all the debates were about, and especially the major heresies that arose during those centuries, and about the meanings of some of the key terms (homoousios, homoiousios, etc.) And this is the first book that has made the byzantine debates around the Chalcedonian councils at least somewhat comprehensible to me. If the first 250 pages are any measure of how the rest of the book will be, I know it will be good! I can't wait to read about Augustine, medieval and scholastic theology, Aquinas, and especially the reformation. I'll come back after I finish the book and complete this report. So far, it's five star material for sure. Edit. After finishing this book I can only add that it is a wonderful book by a great author. The book kept my attention and was always interesting. I highly recommend it!
