Second release for the Decouple ][ Series, a project that aims to showcase artists working, in their own ways, at the bold fringes of electronic composition, experimenting around the topics of increasing complexity, dependencies and miscommunication in a media-saturated digital era. British producers Dale Cornish and Sim Hutchins join the project, the former playing with an anti-sober, almost eccentric euphoria, the latter with nostalgic and slightly eerie ambient feel. The thinness of reality is made of transparent things and refractions - external and internal points of view of the same subject. Croydon's prodigy Dale Cornish joyously plays here with a terse, oblique, abstract, almost candid, almost brutal TR- 909's 'floor friendly pattern. Not immune to unpredictable subtle fractures, the witty nine minutes of percussive repetition stretches out beyond it's physical form, hinting at moments of climax but never overwhelming it's voyeuristic nature. Saturated handclaps and hi-hat pan-pots widen top-end frequencies while classic 909 claves incursions, cowbells, and tambourines counterpoint. What sounds like a recording of Dale's own voice lasciviously recurs so to become the track's title itself - "California"! Playfully pointillist explorations, pulse, and percussive deconstructed gestures place this track into the elusive territory between dancefloor and experimental. "The product of a bleak winter night, cold fingers gripped tightly on restraint/release controls. Red wine sipped from a mug in lieu of adequate central heating. Stifled sense of euphoria inferred by subtle melodies not brave enough to visibly cross frozen pads, instead opting to lurk in the chill of closed hats and hollow bandpasses. Though unable to procure the resources required to stoke the internal flames of creative thought, I powered through instead and struck tipsily at chords, and at the red-skied February dawn 'Druk Pak' was the end result". No better words than Sim Hutchins' own to describe a tune of potential somnambulism, obscure awareness, and future nostalgia for the present-day. Another time his vision, sounds and impulses set markers of contemporaneity. All cover pictures for the Decouple ][ Series are taken from Alice Bonfanti's Transparent Things (1997), courtesy of the artist. Includes download code. Mini-LP split of ten-minute sides.

Smells great. Tough to remove.
Size: 5.5 Ounce (Pack of 1)
The smell is great and very nostalgic, but it has a sticky/tacky feel on the skin. It's hard to get off even with a lot of scrubbing with soap and hot water. They weren't joking that it stays on through water and sweat.

A TERRIFIC FIND FOR US IN ECUADOR
Size: 5.5 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Here in Ecuador, this product isn't even available to us. I have the most precious 20 month old girl living with us and of course I wanted to get a quality product at less cost. This fits the bill. With an SPF 100 rating from a decades old and trusted manufacturer and a price that is less than one third of what I would have to pay for any sort of water resistant equivalent, this was a no brainer.
If you buy this product, please read the instructions and follow them. It is a spray product that great care should be used to avoid spraying directly on the face--------- either your own or the child's. Spray it on your hand and apply it to any face that needs it. It's convenient for neck, shoulders, backs and legs due to its spray delivery.
Our little 20 month old must be part fish because she loves the thermal pools we take her to and this product seems quite durable

SPF 100 FTW
Size: 5.5 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I find it very important to have strong sunscreen. Thankfully I found this with 100 SPF. So glad plus I’m happy that I found it in spray because it’s so much easier to apply the kids and then I just have them rub it in. It also makes reapplying so much easier because just start spraying and have them turn around and around that you’re good to go.

Not eczema skin friendly
Size: 5.5 Ounce (Pack of 1), Size: 5.5 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Since I didn’t remember which sunblock spray I had previously purchased (that was super awesome), I got this one with a few other ‘kid’ sunblock spray and stick. I had grabbed this one for a splash pad birthday party this weekend only to find out it’s messy and not eczema skin friendly. Either we got a defective bottle or it’s just the way it sprays: runny goops of sunscreen that takes awhile to dry properly (see photo). And when it dries it really does stick onto your skin as advertised (aka not breathable, pore clogging, will irritate sensitive/eczema prone skin). My youngest has eczema prone skin (that’s been flare up free for 3 years) had a severe break out on her arms after using this. And even for the sake of photo demonstration for this post my own sensitive skin got red/irritated.
So does it stick-yup. Is it messy? Definitely. Easy to apply? No (your kiddos have to stay put until it dries). Did it provide sun protection? Maybe…? Sensitive skin friendly? No. Eczema skin approved? Definitely not. Recommended? Nope. We threw it away and requested a refund.

GREAT FOR ADULTS TOO!
Style: Kids SPF 50, Size: 3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
This isn't just a great sunscreen for kids, it also works great for adults too. I've used this on my face under my makeup for years and it doesn't make me break out. I've tested many facial sunscreens and none of them go on as smoothly as this one. A lot of them aren't moist enough to spread out on the skin, but this one is very moist and I don't need to use a lot of it for coverage. Facial sunscreens can be pricey, but this Kids Sunscreen is under $10 and is a great value. It has a subtle, delicate scent and that's another plus for me. When it's on my face, I don't notice it. I avoid overpowering scents in all my facial products.
