On January 24, 1975, Keith Jarrett sat at the piano at the Cologne Opera, closed his eyes, and began to improvise. What flowed from his hands over the next hour became one of the most beautiful recordings in jazz history.
In the afternoon of January 4 and 5, 2025, we played two live studio sessions, dedicated to him and inspired by his music, which we deeply love.
Memories of Tomorrow is an encore to the Cologne concert. Tracks 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 11 are our improvisations, conceived around the harmonies of Jarrett's solo performances.
