The Panasonic Lumix G 20mm f/1.7 ASPH. (first version) is a Micro Four Thirds prime lens known for its compact pancake form and high optical precision. It employs a 7-element, 5-group design, including two aspherical elements to effectively reduce spherical aberrations and distortion while maintaining high resolution across the frame. The bright f/1.7 maximum aperture enables excellent low-light performance and shallow depth of field control, while preserving contrast and sharpness even at wider settings.
Autofocus is driven by an internal focusing system with a stepping motor, optimized for still photography and capable of quiet operation suitable for video use. The multi-coated optics enhance transmission and suppress flare, providing neutral color rendition and consistent contrast.
With a minimum focusing distance of 0.2 m and a filter thread of 46 mm, the lens maintains versatility for both general and close-range applications. Constructed with precision-engineered metal and polycarbonate materials, the Lumix G 20mm f/1.7 ASPH. delivers a 40mm equivalent field of view, offering a balanced perspective ideal for everyday, reportage, and travel photography within the Micro Four Thirds system.

Awesome Boards….BUT the Smell!!!!

I’d love to give these 5 stars, they are heavy, well made, smooth, deep juice grooves, just nice….but the smell! I washed them, then used vinegar on them, set them outside over night, washed them again….its better but still present. I’d love some guidance on this. I’m hoping it goes away in a few days. It’s like a very strong woodsy smell that actually made my whole kitchen smell like these boards!
Edit: Ok, here's what I did. Washed, let dry, coated and scrubbed with apple cider vinegar, set them in a high air flow area for 24 hours (I put mine outside on the patio over night), washed and scrubbed again, let dry, scrubbed with lemons and salt, let dry, washed again. Finally, there is still a slight smell if you push them against your nose but that seems to be fading as well. So, great boards if you want to go stubbornly go through the smell removal process. I don't think it's a chemical smell, I think it's processed bamboo that is shrink wrapped in air tight packaging too soon after manufacturing. Anyway, I'll move this to 4 stars....but lots of work involved here!

Don’t worry about the smell!

These are great for the price, though I’ve never had any desire or need to use the smallest one. They smell strongly of BBQ at first, but from what I’ve read that’s a natural result of a heat treatment used to increase it’s durability and dark color (the heat cooks the sugars in the bamboo which creates the scent). Anyways, I’ve had them for awhile
now and the scent is long gone.
