The Blackmagic Design Spares - ATEM 1 M/E Panel - PCB Main is the primary logic engine for the 1 M/E Broadcast or Advanced Panel. While smaller sectional boards handle the button presses, the Main PCB acts as the central nervous system, managing all network communication and the execution of commands between the physical panel and the ATEM switcher.

Core Responsibilities

  • System Logic & CPU: Runs the internal firmware that interprets tactile inputs (buttons, faders, knobs) and converts them into the ATEM Ethernet Protocol.

  • Networking Hub: Houses the Ethernet port and manages the IP stack. It is responsible for maintaining a stable heartbeat connection with the switcher.

  • Communication Bridge: Acts as the "Master" for all other internal boards (the internal P/S, the button PCBs, and the LCD display), aggregating their data.

  • Configuration & Memory: Stores your panel's custom settings, such as button brightness levels, IP addresses, and network names.

  • USB Interface: Manages the USB port used for initial setup and critical firmware recovery/updates via the ATEM Setup Utility.

When to Replace the Main PCB

  • Network Failure (The "No Connection" Loop): The panel powers on and the buttons light up, but it will not connect to the switcher, and the Ethernet port shows no activity (no Link/Data lights) even with known-good cables.

  • Boot Failure: The panel gets stuck on the initial "Blackmagic Design" splash screen or sits in a continuous reboot cycle.

  • "Ghost" Panel: The panel appears to be on, but none of the controls (buttons or fader) produce a reaction on the ATEM software or the video output.

  • Bricked Firmware: A failed firmware update has rendered the unit unresponsive, and the "Recovery Mode" (typically triggered by holding the top-left button during power-on) fails to initialize.

  • Complete Data Corruption: The LCD display shows "garbage" text or random pixels, and the button tally colors are erratic across the entire panel.

Technical Installation Note

Repair Level: 4 (Advanced). 1. Central Access: You must remove the bottom plate of the 1 M/E panel chassis. The Main PCB is typically the large board located in the center or rear of the internal tray.

2. Ribbon Cable Mapping: This board is connected to the button rows and the display via several high-density ribbon cables. Label these cables before disconnecting. Reversing a cable or plugging it into the wrong header can permanently damage the new PCB.

3. The FFC Warning: The connection to the LCD screen uses a Flexible Flat Cable (FFC). You must use a plastic tool to flip the lock on the connector; pulling the cable without unlocking it will strip the copper traces.

4. IP & MAC Re-configuration: Because the network chip is on this board, the panel will have a new MAC address. You will need to connect via USB to the ATEM Setup Utility to re-assign your static IP address after the swap.

Diagnostic: Main PCB vs. Other Components

  • It is the Main PCB if: The failure is "universal" (the whole panel won't connect or boot).

  • It is a Sectional PCB if: Only the M/E row (buttons) is dead, but the menu screen and network connection are working.

  • It is the Internal P/S if: The panel is completely dark (no fans, no lights, no display).

Expert Advice: Before replacing the Main PCB for a "Connection Error," always double-check your Subnet Mask and Gateway settings in the ATEM Setup Utility. Many "dead" boards are actually just experiencing an IP conflict or are on the wrong network segment.

Is the panel failing to be discovered by the ATEM Setup Utility via USB, or is it just failing to connect over the network?

Should have bought this years ago!!!
I live at the end of 25 minutes dirt road top of red Mountain, Co. On the 3rd flat in 2 weeks I ordered this kit instead of putting a spare on and driving to town 1 hour away. and knock on wood its has held going on 3 weeks. I jacked up the car, followed the instruction and wow easier then going to Big-O. Love it and told my Kids they need to get it also.

A Must-Have Emergency Kit for Every Vehicle, Especially ATVs!
I recently bought this 54PCS Flat Tire Repair Kit with Air Compressor, and I’m seriously impressed. It’s one of those products you hope you won’t need—but are SO glad to have when the time comes. I used it on my ATV after catching a sharp rock on the trail, and it saved the day. The plug worked perfectly, and the air compressor had my tire reinflated in just a few minutes. What I really love is how complete the kit is. From cars and motorcycles to trucks and tractors, it’s got everything you need to handle a flat. The tools are solid and durable, and the case keeps everything neatly organized. It’s compact enough to toss in the back of my truck or ATV storage box without taking up too much space. If you ride ATVs in remote areas like I do, this kit is a no-brainer. It gives you peace of mind and saves you from having to hike back to civilization. Highly recommended!

Kept it in my trunk for months — used it once and it saved me
I’ve had this AUTOWN tire repair kit sitting in the trunk for several months as a “just in case” thing. I have only had to use it once, but the tools and compressor held up and it actually helped me get out of a bad spot where I didn’t have a spare tire available. Just to be clear, I wouldn’t call this a permanent fix. It’s more of an emergency repair to get you back on the road. In my case it did exactly that. Afterward, I went to a nearby tire shop and had the tire repaired the right way. Overall, I’m really glad I had it in the car. Just using it once has already paid for itself.

This product work so well it will surpass your expectations it did mine
Size: 1-Pack (32 oz)
This product is well worth the price. I had a small branch puncture a hole through the sidewall of a tire on my 4 wheeler. The hole was at least 3/8” and was done by a tree limb so the edges were jagged. I followed instructions on the product yet the whole time I thought I was wasting my time and the product most likely. I was pleasantly surprised and wrong. It sealed as soon as re inflated the tire and hasn’t leaked down in over 6 months now. I was so impressed I put 2 packs in everything I drive on road and off road.
