Lauren is the Designer, Maker and Founder of Lauren Holloway - Sustainable Bags & Accessories handmade in Bristol. Her journey started in 2013 when she dug out a dusty vintage Singer sewing machine and taught herself how to make bags. She created her first collection from the bedroom of her flat, opened an Etsy shop and the rest is history! She loves the whole process of designing and making - from coming up with the initial idea to handpicking each element from fabrics to hardware, focusing not only on functionality but on aesthetics and originality. Her aim is to create beautiful products that are made with care and attention to detail with a focus on sustainable and ethical manufacturing. Lauren has always been inspired by her travels around the globe, especially the beautiful patterns of Japan and the bold, colourful fabrics of Bali. Good: It's a good sized leather tray for the price. I'm able to keep my keys, wallet, tv remote, and watch flat within the box. There's not much else to say, it's a leather tray, it just... works. It gives me piece of mind knowing that I'll always find my accessories and belongings nicely tucked into this tray. Bad: I'm a fair reviewer, if a product wows me I'll say it wows me. This does not wow me in the craftsmanship department. The product I received contains the leather tray and a leather "floor". The leather floor is a separate piece that sits at the bottom of the tray which completes the complete leather look and provides some cushion to the things inside. This leather floor did not fit perfectly within the confines of the tray. One edge sits slightly tilted upward. To be completely fair, this is a very easy fix. I assumed that the stitching was simply applied too tightly and causes the floor to 'crunch'. I simply reduced the tightness of the stitching and it's perfect now. However, I cannot give it the full 5 star rating I wanted because not everyone is keen on solving issues like this. When people order things, I assume that most people would like a product that looks and feels great straight from the box. Verdict: Would still recommend. Despite this being a somewhat niche product it really helps with quality of life. I no longer have to go looking for my keys, wallet, or tv remote between my couch cushions. I know exactly where I'll find them every time and this saves an exponential amount of time in the mornings. As a bonus, the color is really nice and dark chocolate brown which goes with most things and leather is just a nice luxury to have.
