For more than a century, journalists, pulp fiction authors, and even serious historians have produced largely fictitious accounts of "Ned" Christie's life. Now, in a tour de force of investigative scholarship, Devon A. Mihesuah offers a far more accurate depiction of Christie and the times in which he lived. In 1887 Deputy U.S. Marshal Dan Maples was shot and killed in Tahlequah, Indian Territory. As Mihesuah recounts in unsurpassed detail, any of the criminals in the vicinity at the time could have committed the crime. Yet the federal court at Fort Smith, Arkansas, focused on Christie, a Cherokee Nation councilman and adviser to the tribal chief. Christie evaded capture for five years. His life ended when a posse dynamited his home--knowing he was inside--and shot him as he emerged from the burning building. The posse took Christie's body to Fort Smith, where it lay for three days on display for photographers and gawkers. Nede's family suffered as well. His teenage cousin Arch Wolfe was sentenced to prison and ultimately perished in the Canton Asylum for "insane" Indians--a travesty that, Mihesuah shows, may even surpass the injustice of Nede's fate. Placing Christie's story within the rich context of Cherokee governance and nineteenth-century American political and social conditions, Mihesuah draws on hundreds of newspaper accounts, oral histories, court documents, and family testimonies to assemble the most accurate portrayal of Christie's life possible. Yet the author admits that for all this information, we may never know the full story, because Christie's own voice is largely missing from the written record. In addition, she spotlights our fascination with villains and martyrs, murder and mayhem, and our dangerous tendency to glorify the "Old West." Okay for small projects, terrible for bigger or full sheet use.

I needed some decals for light colored shirts but wanted something that felt better quality and gave me a higher quantity than the typical Avery brand iron on sheets. Avery is better. These no matter how much I ironed with my heat press or iron, a portion of the decal would not adhere to the shirt even after double checking the shirt materials and heat settings only the edges of the decal adhered to the shirt. The rest of the sheets either stayed stuck to the backing sheet or loose on the ironed shirt and quickly tore. I would not recommend these for professional small businesses or even the crafty mom. Not worth it. I purchased two boxes and still the same result with both. Do not waste you money like I did. You will be sorely disappointed.

Not for professional usage

Image is a pain to adhere. Using my heat press even on a low setting caused serious sticking. Using the iron sucked because it took for ever to get the image to adhere to the shirt. It was so much stuck paper after cooling off, I ended up ruining 4 shirts.. I would not buy this again. If you are using just to try images and designs maybe, if using in a business manner I wouldn’t!

My Go-To Sublimation Paper — Flawless Results Every Time

This is hands down the best sublimation paper I’ve used and the only one I continue to buy. I get a perfect transfer every single time—no fracturing, no fading, and no uneven results. The paper dries fast, which makes my workflow so much smoother, especially when I’m producing items in batches.
I use this regularly to make air fresheners and tote bags for my small business, and the color payoff is always vibrant and crisp. The transfer rate is excellent, and it works beautifully on light-colored, high-quality polyester and other sublimation-ready surfaces.
If you’re a small business owner or crafter who values consistency, quality, and ease of use, this paper is absolutely worth it. I highly recommend it and will continue to repurchase.

Best Sublimation Paper

I’ve been using A-Sub paper for my sublimation projects, and it is easily one of the best. The ink dries almost instantly once printed, so I don’t have to worry about smudging the design or getting those annoying "pizza wheel" marks from the printer rollers. The paper itself feels substantial and doesn't tear or curl easily. One of the biggest wins for me is that it never jams; it feeds through perfectly every time, saving me the frustration of wasting expensive ink and paper.
When I go to press my designs, the ink releases almost completely, leaving very little behind on the paper and putting all that color onto the project. The final results look super professional, with colors that are vibrant and sharp rather than looking faded or dull. It has worked perfectly for everything I’ve tried so far, and if you want a reliable paper that gives you consistent, high-quality results, this is definitely the one to get.
