Looking for yarn inspiration? Our continuous series are published over on our blog. Read YARN PAIRINGS FOR LAINE ISSUE 20Laine is a high-quality Nordic knit & lifestyle magazine for knit folks. Laine cherish natural fibres, slow living, local craftsmanship, and beautiful, simple things in life.
Laine's intention is to inspire you to gather and share, to be part of a community of like-minded knitters, makers and thinkers from near and far. Knitting is more than just knit, knit, purl. It is a feeling.
Laine's highly inspiring spring issue Laine 20 — Waterways — invites you to spend a day with Laine at the sea! It includes ten beautiful and unique knits perfect for the season: the kind that will keep you warm on the first spring days when you can’t get enough of the outdoors but still need that extra layer to keep you warm.
The gorgeous photography in this issue were taken in Suomenlinna: an inhabited sea fortress in the Baltic Sea, just in front of Helsinki, the capital of Finland. They depict a lazy day spent by the sea — you can almost smell the salty air and feel the soft breeze in your hair!
Designers contributing to Issue 20 - Rebecca Clow, Lily Kate France, Eliza Hinkes, Susanna Kaartinen, Marzena Kołaczek, Marion Mursic, Joey Poh, Olga Putano, Qing Studio and Thea Vesterby.
The Spring issue features:
- 10 knitting patterns: 5 sweaters, 1 cardigan, 1 tee, 2 shawls and 1 pair of socks.
- an interview with the Afro-Finnish knitwear designer Jenny Ansah who wants to bring a stronger sense of community to the world of handicrafts.
- The results of our first-ever Laine Knitting Survey, with 4,433 responses from knitters from all over the world. Read what knitting looks like in the 2020s and how knitters hope to see it evolve!
- Jeanette Sloan Talks Fibre – a regular article on Jeanette chatting with interesting people. In this issue, she meets Maria Zeb Benjamin from The Wool Library, a grassroots organisation that celebrates British wool.
- Five Ways by regular writer Päivi Kankaro, who explores how artificial intelligence might change knitting in the future.
- Where I Knit: a regular piece that pictures people knitting in their favourite spot. In this issue, we meet Sascha Faxe, a Danish MP who likes to knit in Parliament meetings.

A Thoughtful Look at Healing Beyond the Physical
Format: Kindle
The Energy Code invites you to slow down and view health from a completely different angle, rather than focusing only on symptoms or surface-level fixes. The book presents a deeper question: What if the body is responding to something happening beneath the surface?
The book doesn't dismiss conventional medicine or make bold claims; it simply opens the door to another layer of understanding. It explores how emotional patterns, energy imbalances, and unresolved stress might show up physically, and it does so in a way that feels thoughtful rather than extreme.
The symptom guide encourages reflection, not fear, and helps you see possible connections between what your body is experiencing and what might be going on internally. Even if you don't agree with every idea, it's hard not to find moments that make you pause and think.
If you're open to holistic perspectives and want to explore healing from the inside out, The Energy Code offers an insightful and reflective place to start.
