"Two mind-bending slabs of acoustic and electric guitars, wandering into corners of acid-logic only accessible to bravest explorers. Elkhorn is a duo - Jesse Sheppard and Drew Gardner - from NYC. Their earlier records (Elkhorn on Beyond Is Beyond, The Black River on Debacle) would have blown us away, even if we didn't know Jesse from his work as a film-maker (he directed the Glenn Jones/Jack Rose doc, The Things That We Used to Do) and organizer (he put together the 1,000 Incarnations of the Rose festival). Elkhorn's music, which we had suspected might be in a fairly traditional American Primitive vein, was anything but. And these two LPs (released individually, but recorded more or less simultaneously) explore a whole warren of new style caverns. Sun Cycle was recorded at Jason Meagher's Black Dirt Studio and is closer to their pure duo sound (although guitarist Willie Lane and percussionist Ryan Jewell are along for the ride). There are elements of the American Primitive thread present, but these touch mostly on the outer reaches of the form, like Gene Estibou & Jean-Claude Pickens' Intensifications, or the crazy distentions of MV and PG Six. Layers of pluck and soar and light percussion mix at the upper edge of the cosmic barrier, and Sun Cycle is, to our ears, Elkhorn's most adventurous and fully realized album yet. On Elk Jam (FTR 425CD-LP), Willie Lane and Ryan Jewell function more as members of a psychedelic folk-rock quartet, and the troupe takes things even deeper in a Bay Area-styled trip zone. Recalling the classic ruminations of Mountain Bus, the full four man Elkhorn is exactly what the doctor prescribed for a generation of sack-butts who imagine John Mayer's pudgy phallus-riffs have shit to do with transcendental psych exploration. Elkhorn are the true sonic dealio. Instrumental music doesn't get much better than this. As Capt. Beefheart once said, 'If you got ears/You gotta listen!' Love this product but not the best for stubborn pimples

The Mighty Patch Original Patch from Hero Cosmetics is hands-down one of the best acne solutions I’ve used. These hydrocolloid stickers actually shrink pimples and whiteheads overnight — I wake up and see a noticeable difference, even on stubborn spots that usually take days to calm down.
They’re super easy to use — just stick on before bed and let them work while you sleep. They stay put, even if you accidentally touch your face, and don’t irritate my skin. I also like that they’re practically invisible enough to wear during the day if needed.

Truly Mighty! Best patches we’ve found.

A total game changer (where were these when I was a teen?!)

I honestly wish these had been around when I was younger! The Mighty Patch Original is hands-down the most effective way I’ve found to deal with stubborn whiteheads. Instead of picking at my skin and making things worse, I just pop one of these on at night and let it do the work while I sleep.
By the morning, you can actually see the gunk it pulled out right on the patch (gross, but strangely satisfying). It significantly reduces the size and redness of the zit in just one use, and because it covers the spot, it stops me from touching it and causing more irritation.
The 72-count pack is a great value and lasts quite a while. They stay put all night, even if you toss and turn, and they’re clear enough that you almost forget you’re wearing them. If you’re looking for a stress-free way to clear up your skin overnight, these are a must-have!

Works on all skin types

What an amazing product! I'm in my 40s and still experience occasional acne. I purchased Mighty Patch, and after wearing it overnight, my blemish was noticeably cleared up by morning.
I have fairly dry skin and already use quality skincare products both morning and night, so I was impressed by how well it worked. My 17-year-old son also tried one when he started getting a few breakouts, and it cleared up his blemish as well. His skin is much oilier than mine, which shows that this product can be effective for both dry and oily skin types.
I’m very happy with the results and will definitely be purchasing it again!

Works as expected! Good value

I bought these because I ran out of Curology patches that I got with the free trial. These work similarly; you’ll need one or two patches to fully get rid of the pimple— it depends on how large & inflamed it is. Even if you need two the first patch will still a do a good job of draining most the gross fluid out.
I like that these are more translucent/transparent than some other brands I’ve seen. They’re not obnoxious looking if you’re wearing one or two in the daytime.
The adhesion has been great so far. I’ve tried it on bare and moisturized skin and either way it holds up. Once it’s been stuck in place for a few minutes you can apply a moisturizer on your face OVER the patches without them slipping off. Just use a gentle touch.
There’s probably cheaper pimple patches from smaller brands but $4.49 (before tax) is definitely a reasonable cost for 30 patches So I gave it 4 stars for value for money.
My only qualm is that the small size pimple patches could stand to be at least slightly bigger. Only new closed comedones that are just forming are that small (typically). Otherwise I’m satisfied with this purchase.
