Wow, what a fantastic book for how to start business and for it to be successful. There is great advice, resource, tips and tricks, the dos and donts of to have a successful business. Talks about a business plan and not all business plans will work for each business. There is alot of valuable information and tools on how to run your own business. If you are wanting to start up your own business/be your own boss then this book is definitely for you. I definitely recommend this book

The basics of building a business

This workbook is a companion piece to the book of the same name. It takes a start up entrepreneur through all the initial barriers to start up, methods to overcome barriers and fundamentals of starting up a business. I like the way it starts at the beginning of developing a vision and mission statement and continues to walk you through defining your ideal customer, goal setting, developing a unique value proposition and a business model canvas. It emphasises the importance of a SWOT analysis and having a sound financial plan. I like the way the workbook provides space for you to work through your own thought processes and financial plan for getting your business off the ground. It is a sound method to use for a person beginning their business journey to make sure they cover all the vitally important steps to starting their own business.
