A collection of essays that resulted from years of creative social activism, teaching, lecturing, facilitating workshops, travelling, conversing, researching and scholarship from my first degree in chemical engineering; to my work in theatres and bookshops; & then to teaching and facilitating workshops in community contexts, high school, TAFE colleges & finally to teaching social ecology at Western Sydney University. Influenced by the work of Jean Gebser on integral consciousness whose work provides a powerful model for transformation in the age of the Anthropocene. GebserÕs structures of consciousness support the idea that humans have become the most significant global geological force. Through the theories, experiences and stories presented in this book on the subjects of social and spiritual ecology, integral consciousness and learning, Dances of Universal Peace, Universal Sufism, cosmology, and evolutionary biology we can reawaken our essential connection to the way nature learns.
