Optimo Music present a collection of works from Robert Rental Different Voices For You. Different Colours For Me. Demos 1980."On an unassuming cassette, just labelled Robert Rental in green Dymo tape, these demos have lain unheard for years amongst his family's treasured possessions, cared-for artefacts of a life cut short far too soon. These songs, which Robert recorded in his council flat in Battersea in 1980, provide an enticing glimpse into his all-too-infrequent solo work. On most occasions, Robert worked with Thomas Leer, Daniel Miller, or other collaborators. These are rough recordings, tape hiss still in evidence, but his creativity shines through the murk, like uncut diamonds. With these recordings Robert appears to be moving towards more recognizable song structures than most of his earlier work, which could be wildly experimental and would often involve found recordings taped directly off television. We know two of these tracks from their later re-recording for the Mute Records single 'Double Heart' late in 1980. Robert spoke to friends of his frustration at being unable to replicate his sound in a commercial studio - it was these demos' sound that he wanted to recreate. Best sunscreen ever
Best sunscreen! Extremely smooth, it leaves your skin completely matte. It does not feel like sunscreen, it feels like a high end primer. It’s a gel not even a cream. I use it as my primer, since I have to put sunscreen on anyway, it serves as my primer before make up. I’ve always struggled with finding a decent sunscreen for my face that leaves no cast or hurts my eyes but this one is the best one I’ve ever tried. Matte, smooth, gel, does not hurt eyes, primer for make up. Amazing! And great value for the money.

Feels very oily right after applying
Ok, NON SPONSORED review. I bought this with my own money. It’s a great sunscreen, very lightweight and goes on clear. The only downside is, right after applying it feels like straight cooking oil on your skin. It’s a horrible, horrible sensory experience. But once you give it a couple minutes to dry down, it’s completely matte and feels like nothing. It hasn’t broken me out yet like other sunscreens I’ve tried, so that’s a plus.

Works great under makeup
Excellent for the face! Many sunscreens claim they are good for the face, and blend well. This one actually DOES!! It is also an excellent moisturizer under your makeup without streaking. Just a smooth, beautiful finish. I wear it all year around The sun is just as strong and quite capable of ruining your skin in the winter as well.

Not amazing, but not the worst.
I hate sunscreen and to varying degrees chemical or mineral sunscreens. This was promised as grease free and smooth, but it comes out watery and does feel greasy, but once applied on the skin it does feel smooth.
UPDATE: I got a suntan after slathering this on my face. I would say this lasts about an hour and a half. The suntan happened 15 minutes before the two hour "clock" was up. Disappointing. Back to mineral sunscreen.

Best sunblock. No white cast if you use the 30 spf. My dermatologist recommended this years ago and I’ve used it since.
