This Kidde 120-Volt Hardwired Combination Smoke/CO Voice Alarm with Intelligent Wire-Free Interconnect and 10-Year Battery features voice alert, wireless interconnectivity, and a sealed-in 10-Year Backup Battery. This alarm requires hardwire installation and includes a 10-year Battery Backup to provide protection even during power outages. The voice alarm announces the type of hazard detected and indicates when the Smart Hush feature has been activated. This alarm interconnects with other Kidde hardwire interconnect alarms and also features wire-free interconnectivity with other Kidde 10-Year Wire-Free Interconnect alarms. If one unit is triggered, all interconnected alarms will sound. - Voice alarm announces "Fire", when a smoke or fire hazard is detected and announces "Warning Carbon Monoxide" when a CO hazard is detected
- Internal timer reminds you to replace your unit after 10 years to ensure the most reliable protection
- Photoelectric sensing alarms may detect visible fire particles (associated with slow smoldering fires) sooner than ionization alarms
- Compatible with the Kidde SmartBridge app and hub (sold separately), so that you can receive a message on your smart phone, tablet, or PC alerting you to a potential threat
- SmartBridge app and hub are not required for device to operate
- Interconnect is not required; this alarm also functions as a stand-alone Smoke and Carbon Monoxide detector
- A maximum of 24 Kidde devices can be interconnected in a multiple station arrangement; the interconnect system must not exceed the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) limit of 18 initiation devices, of which 12 can be smoke alarms; with 18 initiating devices (smoke, heat, CO, etc. ) interconnected, it is still possible to interconnect 6 strobe lights and/or relay modules

ASURION EXTENDED WARRANTIES
I was skeptical that my ASURION warranty would be honored since it was not an easy process to submit claim and required following up several times. Not as easy as buying it initially for a product on check out at amazon. Once the burdensome process was completed on my end, It was easy load the gift card issued for the warranty to my Amazon account. I would definitely look at warranty policies closer though before purchasing one. Good luck if you decide to purchase extended warranty.

It’s useless buying this protection plan. They will not help you with your issue. They will refer you back to the seller. What’s the point of buying a protection plan when they refuse to help? I DO NOT recommend purchasing this plan. Total waste of money and time.
