This scenic getaway blends the shimmering beauty of Muskoka’s waterways with the wild heart of Ontario’s Highlands. Cruise the sparkling lakes, dine lakeside, and meet some of Canada’s most captivating wildlife—all in one unforgettable escape.
Day 1 The adventure begins with a stop at the iconic Windermere House for a delicious buffet lunch in their lakeside dining room—soak up panoramic views of Lake Rosseau as you enjoy lunch. Then wander down to the lake as visitors did in bygone years and board the Wenonah II for a classic Muskoka experience: an afternoon cruise on Lake Rosseau. Glide past the grand summer estates of Millionaires’ Row, hear the stories of Muskoka’s gilded history, and feel the cool breeze as you wander the decks. We’ll dock in Gravenhurst—the gateway to Muskoka—and check into our hotel. Fairfield Inn & Suites, Gravenhurst (L)
Day 2 After breakfast, we trade lakes for forests as we journey north to the Haliburton Forest & Wildlife Reserve. Here, you’ll come face-to-face with the incredible pack at the Wolf Centre, learning about these majestic creatures in their natural environment. It’s a rare and humbling glimpse into the wild heart of Ontario. Enjoy lunch surrounded by the peace of the pines, before we make our scenic return home—camera full, heart full, and spirit recharged by nature. (B,L)
