About the Book/Author

Virginia Cantarella is a multi gifted artist who earned her living as a medical illustrator. She paints both realistically and abstractly, has illustrated books as ranging from a book on phonics, a book about miniature horses, mystery stories, and two of her own books on anatomy.

Some years ago she met Maria Laura Cantarella Arganini on Facebook. Maria Laura wondered if they might be related. They are not, as Cantarella is Virginia’s name from her first marriage. However, she responded to Maria Laura in Italian; (Virginia is trilingual having lived in Italy and France). Intrigued, Maria Laura asked if they could be friends, and they began to correspond almost daily. After several months of corresponding, Maria Laura came to the US to visit Virginia in her home in South Westerlo, NY. There have been five more visits.

Now Maria Laura has a grandchild, a little boy named Michele. Virginia decided she would make a book for the little boy. That book, Out My Window, Fuori Dalla Mia Finestra was such a success, Virginia has decided to write more.

Virginia Cantarella è un’ artista con multi talenti. Si è guadagnata da vivere come illustratore medica, dipinge realisticamente e astrattamente, ha illustrato libri che vanno da un libro sulla fonetica, un libro sui cavallini, storie misteriose e due dei suoi libri sull’ anatomia.

Alcuni anni fa ha incontrato Maria Laura Cantarella Arganini su Facebook. Maria Laura si chiedeva se potessero essere imparentati. Non lo sono, poichè Cantarella è il nome da sposata della Virginia dal suo primo matrimonio. Tuttavia, ha risposto a Maria Laura in italiano; (Virginia è trilingue avendo vissuto in Italia e in Francia). Incuriosittà, Maria Laura ha chiesto se potevano essere amici, e le due donne hanno cominciato una corrispondenza di quasi ogni giorno. Dopo diversi mesi di corrispondenze, Maria Laura è venuta negli Stati Uniti per visitare la Virginia alla sua casa a South Westerlo, NY. Ci sono state altre cinque visite nei anni seguente.

Ora Maria Laura ha un nipote, un bambino di nome Michele. Virginia ha deciso di fare un libro per il bambino. Quel libro, Out My Window, Furoi Dalla Mia Finestra fu un tale successo, Virginia ha deciso di scrivere di piu.
