This project was born from an idea by Marco Lincetto.
The concept is to pay homage, with a new, minimalist, and intimate interpretive approach, to some of the most significant songs in music history from the last hundred years, all originating around the golden age of Rock and Progressive Rock between the 60s and 70s.
It is an act of love towards an entire generation of extraordinary musicians and artists, but also towards a generation of passionate listeners – today, in the year of our Lord 2021, around 50 / 60 / 70-year-olds – who have loved this music with great intensity, associating it with indelible moments of their lives, and who still demonstrate their love for it today.
And so the title – JUST FOR YOU! – is meant to be a precise, specific, and affectionate dedication to all of them from Marco Lincetto, who considers himself, in this case, a "simple" enthusiast, just like the people to whom this album is explicitly dedicated: "We have made an album that we first and foremost enjoy listening to ourselves!"
The album also includes a track, not widely known, which Marco Lincetto particularly cherishes – C'è un Paese al Mondo – written and originally performed by the Italian group MAXOPHONE: and this version is dedicated to the memory of one of the MAXOPHONE founders, the great Sergio Lattuada, who recently passed away.
