Found primarily in California, Petite Sirah makes big, rich wines showing lots of pepper and spice overlaid by dense black fruit with plenty of tannin. Its opaque, inky purple and black color makes it a useful blending agent to increase depth of color in Zinfandel. Petite Sirah’s high tannin and sometimes inert nature allows it to age easily, in some cases for a couple of decades. That said, many producers are learning how to temper the chewy tannins and are making more approachable wine for near term drinking. Its identity is still somewhat a mystery with DNA tests showing similarities between the southern French varietal Durif, Syrah, Peloursin, an obscure Rhone varietal, and a Peloursin Durif crossing.Shipping Notes

Do not use for Sjogren's dry mouth....

Because my dry mouth is a permanent symptom of Sjogren's disease, there are no gels that relieve the dryness after you swallow it.

Good option to try

I decided to try this gel after finishing an expensive brand recommended by my Dentist. The other gel was in a tiny bottle for double the price. I like that this one is cost effective, and I also enjoy the taste, which is minty overall. As far as helping with dryness, I'm on the fence about both products. My mouth is SUPER dry though, due to medications, so there may not be any effective treatment out there for my Tundra mouth issues. The downside to this one, is that it's very thick and can come out in a blob, which is wasteful. I wish it came in a pump so it would dispense only what's needed. Overall, I recommend trying it for dry mouth, and I'll continue to buy it unless I find something that provides more relief.
