Mary Shelley’s Main Character

Many people accidentally refer to the “Monster” as “Frankenstein” when the reality is that the main character in Mary Shelley’s original tale was “Dr. Frankenstein” who cobbled together the parts of dead people into a single corpse. It was then reanimated by some creative use of lightning and contemporary wiring to bring the monster to life. It then went on to pursue its own story before being killed by the local townspeople.
