After years of touring, random gigs and session work as a gifted player, Walter spent a couple years intensively exploring the Electronic Valve Instrument (EVI), an '80s synthesizer/horn hybrid. Building on the loops and textures of the EVI, the album incorporates phasing patterns, the occasional motoric churn of dubbed out drums and considerate passages of trumpet improvisation, calling on Walter's years of experience as an improviser. Longer pieces are bridged by truncated interludes, wandering between modes that are by turns spooky, restless and sublime.

I love the concept of this book shaped jewelry box. It's got a lot of storage space and the hooks and latches make it usable on it's side like a box or stored vertically like a book on a shelf to save space. I like that it has detailing on the front in gold foil and everything is lined. I got one for myself and one for my mom and we are using both of them and very happy. The necklace pockets are a bit tight so I took manicure scissors and cut them apart to make a larger long pouch to catch chains and that has been working well without compromising the integrity of the box structure.
