What you’ll make
You’ll create a pair of relaxed-fit summer trousers, designed for comfort and everyday wear.
Think:
- Elastic or drawstring waist
- Gentle shaping through the leg
- A silhouette that works with your body, not against it

These are not complicated trousers - they’re thoughtfully simple, beautifully made, and incredibly useful.
What you’ll learn
This workshop is about more than just making a garment.
You’ll come away with a deeper understanding of:
- How to cut and handle fabric with confidence
- How trousers go together (in a way that actually makes sense)
- How to make small adjustments so they sit better on your body
- How to sew neat seams, waistbands, and finishes
- How to approach garment-making without overwhelm
We’ll guide you through each step, so you always know what you’re doing - and more importantly - why.
Who this is for
This workshop is ideal if you:
- Have some basic sewing experience
- Feel a little unsure when it comes to garment construction
- Want to start making clothes you’ll genuinely wear
- Would like a supportive, small-group environment
You don’t need to be “advanced” - just willing to learn.
What to bring
- Your chosen fabric (we’ll advise you beforehand - lightweight linens, cottons or viscose work beautifully)
- Matching thread
- Basic sewing kit if you have one
Machines and equipment are all provided in the studio.
Some Lunch - We have a cafe on site that does a mean stuffed jacket potato or you are welcome to bring along some of your own and enjoy it in the studio.
