"The only thing that ever really frightened me during the war was the U-boat peril," wrote Winston Churchill in his monumental history of World War II. His fear was shared by many. The North Atlantic was arguably the true front of the war for Europe, and the stakes there were terrifyingly high. Had Germany succeeded in cutting off the supply of American ships, England might not have held out. In a cable to Churchill in May 1941, Franklin Roosevelt put it plainly, "I believe the outcome of this struggle is going to be decided in the Atlantic and unless Hitler can win there he cannot win anywhere in the world in the end." Hitler knew what was at stake. The shipping lanes of the Atlantic became the main target of the Kriegsmarine operations early in the war. Between 1940 and 1945 the death rate there was higher than in any other theater of the entire war, for both sides. The enemy was always and constantly there and waiting, lying just over the horizon or lurking beneath the waves. The conflict consisted of not one battle but hundreds, ranging from hours to days in duration, and forcing both sides into constant innovation and white-knuckled, nightmarish second-guessing, trying desperately to gain the advantage of every encounter. Some of this took place in treacherous seas with mountainous swells, in water so cold that survival in it could be counted in mere minutes. Jonathan Dimbleby's The Battle of the Atlantic offers a detailed and immersive account of this massive and decisive campaign, placing it within the context of the war as a whole. Dimbleby delves into the politics on both sides of the Atlantic, revealing the role of Bletchley Park and the complex and dynamic relationship between America and England. He uses contemporary diaries and letters from leaders and sailors to chilling effect, evoking the lives and experiences of those who fought. This is the definitive account of the longest battle of World War II.Binding Type: Paperback

Reliable and Versatile Adapter for My MacBook Air
I have a 13-inch MacBook Air, M4, 2025, and I use it for everything: work, watching videos and series, and occasionally gaming. I also regularly attend court hearings and professional meetings through Zoom, Google Meet, and similar platforms, so I cannot afford connection issues.
This adapter, especially with its LAN port, has been very useful. It gives me more confidence when attending hearings online because I can rely on a stable wired connection. It also works well while connecting other devices, such as microphones or pen drives, which makes it very versatile.
The finish and materials feel solid and high-quality. I used to have a white plastic adapter from another brand, but it ended up changing color with use. This one stays cleaner, looks more professional, and is easier to keep in good condition.
It is easy to carry, practical, and very efficient.

Good quality product
Good value for the price I paid. I have all the slots in use and it works fine. It really helps increase the reading and network speeds, if (like in my case) I have to use both ethernet and/or wifi antenna for my company laptop.
It is slim, sturdy, discreet and I like the main cable that connects to the PC is very flexible like a cord.
Very happy with it.
The only downside is that it gets very hot, I don't know why, but other than this, it really meets my expectations!

One cable does it all, rock solid Ethernet and great 4K output
This hub has simplified my desk setup considerably. I plug it into my MacBook and instantly have Ethernet, 4K HDMI, two USB-A ports, and 100W charging all from one connection. The Ethernet is Gigabit and the speeds are as fast as plugging directly into the router. The 4K HDMI output to my monitor is clean with no flickering. It runs slightly warm during extended use but nothing alarming. Build quality feels solid and UGREEN has been consistently reliable in my experience. Worth every penny if you need to expand a USB-C only laptop.
