The cubes are designed to slot into the flexible character’s face to create the fun lit-up effect, although both the character and cubes can be used independently for fun with or without water! When removed from the water the lights will turn off, however for the best use simply give them a quick wipe dry to preserve the battery and to keep them ready to play again next time!
