Description: Enhance your Mustang's performance with the FM9-SPG6 kit from ACT. This kit includes a Sport pressure plate designed to deliver exceptional performance. The pressure plate utilizes an exclusive diaphragm design to increase clamp load, reduce deflection, and maximize clutch life. Each diaphragm undergoes a four-stage heat-treating process for unparalleled durability. Precision cover stampings ensure rigidity and consistency.
The kit also features ACT's 6-pad, spring-centered race disc, which incorporates spring-center construction to properly damp torsional vibrations and resist failure under harsh conditions. ACT spring retainers utilize wraparound spring windows and thicker retainer stampings to provide spring support, reduce stress concentrations, and increase strength and reliability. While engagement with the 6-pad, spring-centered race disc is harsher, shifting is faster. This disc is recommended for larger clutch sizes to absorb more heat.
